Imagine an early UFC style tournament between them

Fedor takes it, prove me wrong.

Isn't the Hafthor a weightlifter rather than a fighter?

He retired from lifting and then had some boxing fights

Couture either goes out early to Tyson or upsets most of them.

How much time do they get to cross-train?
If he's got enough time to shore up some knowledge gaps, I think Karelin is a live dog in this.

This. The emperor would demolish everyone else on this list.

If Alexander karelin is able to have a modern pre-fight camp, I will go with him.

I don't know if he would beat Karelin. Fedor has admitted before that he isn't sure he could beat him at wrestling.

Anonymous No. 185055

It would be absolutely kino
I'd especially want to see prime Karelin in a modern MMA fight, the guy was an absolute monster. Just imagine him ragdolling heavyweights with grand amplitude throws like they weigh nothing at all

Tyson is the only one with an outside shot via brutal left hook mogs. Other than that it's Karelin or Fedor 99% of the time.

Nobody believes in Jones?

Anonymous No. 185099

This thread is a bit unfair to him, the top row gets all the attention, because of the "what if" factor, that Jones doesn't have because, well, he still fights.
His reach is a definite advantage and I could see him knocking these guys out with a well placed high kick or something, but if they managed to close the range then the odds would be stacked against him imo. Tyson's close range boxing would be a real threat and if Fedor or Karelin managed to get a takedown it would be a very, very bad time for him

>no cro cop

Gotta have prime cro cop for the axe kicks n shiet

No because all the other dudes would be free to blast roids too so the playing field would be evened up
Without his picos Jones is a mere mortal

Hell yeah, swap out Stipe or Cain for Cro Cop

Jones would win. Don't get why Tyson is there at all, boxers can't fight for shit.

I know. I mostly put him here because I don't like boxing fans and Tyson's defeat might make them shut up about how boxing is the only effective martial art. Nevertheless, he would have a small chance of knocking someone out before he gets taken down.

Sometimes, the best guy in a martial art is not the best guy in MMA. Karelin could be a great MMA fighter. He also could be someone with poor striking sense.

How much power would Mike Tyson kicks have?

Yeah but hes a full weight class above everyone else on the list

Who cares, he has no experience in grappling whatsoever. Someone like Alexander Karelin or Teddy Riner would kill him.

Have you tried grappling someone significantly heavier and stronger than you? It ain't easy even if you're skilled

Muay Thai/MMA Mike Tyson would pretty much be Melvin Manhoef

Mate you're not wrong generally speaking but I am very confident that the goat of wrestling can ragdoll him regardless
