How is nobody dying or at the very least getting injured at these bike parks?

Dunno about mtbfags but every single dirtbike guy I know has broken numerous bones, usually multiple times each. One guy I know broke his right collarbone 3 times and his left 2 times.

track is tight, they are not going that fast, it looks fast because of the close quarters and narrow trails, the jumps are small. MX is much faster, small jumps are easily 30 feet. Speed matters - kinetic energy is the square of velocity/2, that is why on a motorcycle you stay with for as long as possible with max braking to slow down as much as possible to reduce the kinetic energy of the impact.

> kinetic energy is the square of velocity/2
It's 1/2(m)(v)^2
Also what the fuck are you talking about

They are. I worked at one of the biggest downhill bike parks on the East Coast.
Weekly ambulances, monthly helicopters. Deaths happen once every few years though, response time is quick.
