Why do most fighters have much less than 100 fights in their careers but some muay thai fighters and some "old school" boxers had much more than 100 fights and Travis Fulton had almost 400 fights?

The audience doesn't need to be live now. There's a bunch of other factors, but that's probably the main one. Fulton doesn't fit in there I'll admit.

Among the "other factors" even the dumbest bonehead boxer knows he's going to end up shaking like a leaf and unable to form a coherent phrase if he fights like old school boxers.

The old school fight game was insanely corrupt and rigged matches were extremely common. There was a gentleman's agreement that you would just make it look real. It was nbd to take a rigged fight if the pay was right. However bad this problem might be now, it used to be way worse.
In Thailand it's still dirty as fuck, but thai fighters are usually broke-ass peasants who are willing to trade their bones and brains so their kids don't have to. Their fight schedule is suicidal to even the most reckless western boxer.

Many Thai fighters get in the ring at a young age. Thai Boxing is also a tourist attraction, so fights happen in more places and a lot more often. When I visited Thailand it seemed like the fights occured every day.
