๐งต Starting Muay Thai

I'm 18 and the city I'm moving to for college (I'm in the US) apparently has a good muay thai gym. I want to start training but I'm concerned about the physical capabilities expected of a new student; I don't want to look retarded. I lift regularly and do some cardio here and there but I don't think I'm in great shape; I'm not very flexible either. I've heard that muay thai gyms make you run a lot and I'm especially shit at running. I have some martial arts experience, having done BJJ for the better part of a year, if that's applicable at all.
So what should I expect as a noob? Also, what are some tips for starting out?

What the other guy said. Just go and train, if you're not in shape yet, you will be eventually.
It's good that you have some BJJ experience, it means you are at least somewhat stress inoculated, used to another person trying to hurt you

You are more qualified than most newcomers. Just relax and enjoy the lessons.
