๐Ÿงต Cutting into a Blender model question

Anonymous No. 866263

Hey guys, curious if anyone would be able to help.

As you can see, I cut little notches using the peg sticking out of the ball around the outside of this cube. I did this using the Boolean function on the cube, and using the inner mesh as the Difference.

I could just do it manually and tediously, making these same cuts along the entire shape, but I'm wondering if someone else may have a better way to do this.

In my ideal scenario I could somehow make it so that all I need to do is face the meshes (as in the screenshot) then rotate the inner object to carve out parts of that cube. I've done some searches but haven't been able to find such a function.

I've got no fucking clue what you're trying to ask, but there's 2 threads dedicated to stuff like this.
A questions thread, >>861577 and a Blender thread >>865717
Your single question that prompts no discussion doesn't need to be anywhere but there.

That being said, again, I've got no clue what you're trying to do or ask, but "Knife Project" might do the trick. Select both objects, go into edit mode, orient the view from where you want to project, select the object that you want to project, Mesh>Knife Project. It'll project all the verts of the selected object from your view onto whatever is underneath it.

If that doesn't work, ask in the proper threads, and try and give a better example/description.

Loop tools addon.

Manual is probably the easiest option here. Set the pivot point to the 3d cursor and rotate your cylinder around the Y axis.

What are you even asking at this point ? Simply duplicate the object rotate it then simply use fast tools to instantly apply all these objects to the base mesh.
