didn't watch it because it is literally a movie for little girls (and the girl in the trailer was incredibly annoying in that way that some hyperactive little girls are).

A FUCKING LEAF MOVIE

Anonymous No. 888629

Nothing, really. It looks fine, had the exact same "traditions can be harmful when you lose track of the meaning behind them" and "make your own path" messages that 90% of all coming-of-age stories have had in the past two generations, and most of the characters, plot, animation, music, and jokes were completely forgettable.
It's a mediocre girls' coming-of-age story that only has stayed on any of 4chan's consciousness because it has a really cartoony style that is reminiscent of CalArts, they made a big deal about it being made by women, and there is a scene where the panda twerks at her mom to piss her off in a very obvious "I don't like this generation's dances" gag. Probably /pol/ and /v/ most of all, because they're the most easily upset about anything and everything, even bland kids movies with plot beats straight out of a 90's family movie.

I miss those days.

A Bug's Life and Cars were literally Pixar's worst movies 10 years ago. Turning Red is mediocre, but it's still better than Cars.

Anonymous No. 888664

I'm saying that Pixar used to do shit other than -insert coming of age story for x nationality here- and woke shit.
You know, rats making cuisine, superheroes in hiding, monsters that harvest human screams for energy, a fish dad searching for his little fish son, do I need to keep going?
A Bugs Life and Cars might have been "bad", but I'd take them over some shitty ideas like a Jewish boy discovering he's a tranny or a black girl facing adversity in school. Which is what Pixar will do next.

Also I'm all for a 3d movies/art without the same copypasted frozen elsa face everywhere which this movie will hopefully influence.

same. I don't think it's one of Pixar's best but it's entertaining. It's clear that the target of this movie is much more for teens/adult females than others that's why most virgins in this thread hate it. Basically what >>888629 summarizes

And I also agree. It was a cute movie, my 5-year-old daughter enjoyed it, and that's all one can expect.

For all the conservative cucks, they sure had a lot of rage over the fact they talked about menstruation in a movie where the protagonist and her friends were all 13-ish years old. I mean, Patrick Stewart voiced a cartoon poop, but mentioning the existence of PADS?!?!?! Fuckgrhdhvsjskgbsks!!!

And then there's all the little dipships who bitch about "CalArts", so of course they had to whine about a cartoon looking cartoony. I get it, you miss the old He-Man cartoon, such sad, much nostalgia. Go model your fiftieth assault rifle with suuuper detailed scratch marks on the barrel, then go fuck yourself.

Anyway, it was a cute movie.
