Sonics booms and supersonics are not something you can just intuit.

Just because your sperg-ass forgot that it was explained to you when you were 11 doesn't mean you figured it out.
There is no issue with putting out the same info repeatedly. Those who know and understand will ignore the message, but the point of the message is to inform those who aren't aware.

Commanders don't want a spacecraft's movements to be constrained by the amount of fuel it carries, allowing satellites to "maneuver without regret."
>Space Force leaders have discussed in-orbit refueling, more efficient propulsion technologies, and other ways to achieve this end. Aerobraking is another way to lower a spacecraft's orbit without using precious propellant.

Elon with Tesla also implicitly noted to NASA of the kind of hardware they can ship to the Moon and Mars in the future for transport between underground habs as stuff they would likely launch via Starships in the future. Especially if both the Robovan and the Cybercap are going to have overspecced AI hardware that can do distributed inference compute when not in use. Having large amounts of compute on site without needing to send the data back home unlocks a huge element in science missions in the future too.

Soon enough all vehicles will be equipped with sophisticated guidance and tracking devices that feed their location, number of occupants, velocity and direction into a central computer run by an AI. There will no more manual driving. You will just tell the computer where you want to go. You will even be able to change your mind on the fly and the AI will respond perfectly. The AI will control the vehicles and determine the optimum traffic flow, ensuring everyone gets where they want to go in the most efficient manner possible, with the minimum of braking or waiting. There will be no more traffic lights or stop signs or giveaways. All vehicles will merge and cross seamlessly. The AI will also ensure you get to park as close as possible to your destination, as it monitors all free spaces at all times.
There will be no more accidents, except when the the terrorists hijack the whole system and convince the AI that all vehicles are an existential threat to Humanity's existence and it proceeds to lock all doors and drive them off the nearest bridge, cliff, or into each other at high speed.

It would depend on whether those parking lots are. A lot of the examples Tesla showed off were converting airport parking lots into giant parks. So I can imagine that near areas of national significance like large amphitheaters, monuments, airports, train stations, museums, etc., those could get converted into large parks for people to spend time in and around when they're on site for an event or traveling between areas during a layover for example. People flying would probably find it as a massive relief to go outside and sit in a park for an hour if they had a multi-hour layover. It beats sitting inside an airport, on your phone, suffering with the rest of the people who are as miserable.
Hell, the parks would double as social spaces and would allow people to connect again, and would lead to a much improved society that doesn't feel so isolated and constantly divided.

The other really REALLY cool bit that I think a lot of people might have missed is that Tesla announced induction charging for their vehicles. While it won't be as efficient as direct plugin. It does mean that you can designate sectors of a lot in the future as charging zones exclusively for cars and any EV that supports wireless charging can pull up, charge, and get essentially the equivalent to the time spent driving to that location and back, back, in the time it takes you to go to the store, do something and return. Maybe even a little bit more.
That'll have a profound impact on how lots in general are designed in the future. Now you don't necessarily have to dedicate entire sections to Supercharging carefully, though you certainly can for the added revenue if you want.

>The news also raises concerns about Amazon's meeting a deadline from the US Federal Communications Commission. The commission requires the company to launch half of the planned 3,200 satellites by July 2026. its a physics/engineering term
a fixed object in space that can move and rotate in any direction has 6 degrees of freedom (x,y,z directions and 3 different ways to rotate)
you can talk about degrees of freedom for robotic actuators as well

What I'm trying to say a the finger of a human arm are essentially independent robots you can't just count the number of actuators in that human arm and say that's how many degrees of freedom there is. It's different from a serial robot arm where usually each joint/actuators must account for a DoF

you can and thats what you do
the range of motion of those degrees of freedom or general dexterity is another matter
but calculating degrees of freedom is simple and non-ambiguous
perhaps some DoF are more useful than others but that doesn't affect the DoF calculation itself

no, just don't be a fatass and walk or bike 2 km lol.
the main reason for congestion in the US is fat americans feel the need to drive for even the shortest of trips.
keep in mind, liberals whining about how the netherlands is this carless utopia are morons who just use it to peddle their commie narrative, the netherlands is still a very car-heavy country, it's just that cars are used mostly for trips from one side of a big city to the other or between cities, not something that would take you 10 minutes to ride a bike to.
the result is less parking space needed, which along with the fact that the dutch are not poorfags and thus most of our extra parking is built underground, means that dutch cities are significantly less sprawling, less space taken up by roads and parking means that a simple walk to the store or anywhere else you need doesn't have to be a 5 kilometer trip. then there's also the retarded zoning rules but that's another can of worms.
anyway, i don't expect americans to ever change this since they're embarrassed when someone else does something better than them, and it would be a herculean effort to unfuck their infrastructure now. just saying, just because you can walk places doesn't mean it has to be some dystopian monitored chink analog city.

short trips contribute a lot to congestion because they are the majority of trips people take in any given timeframe, and and it becomes an exponential problem when every single one is taken in a vehicle that takes up a 2x3 meter space on the road which slows traffic further, leaving those people en-route for longer. someone who might just be through the edge of town now has to stop for an hour become some 100 other people are en-route to their local walmart 2 kilometers away.
anyways was just rubbing it in a little anon, i'm not expecting you guys to change, also you do a lot of other things well, spaceflight for one is an example where you absolutely mog europe, just not traffic management and transportation infrastructure.

Nothing is going to charge because the premise is wrong.
America is not Europe, Euros (and some American urban dwellers) who have never been in a small to medium American town really don't understand how spread-out shit is.
Not many live 2 km from a Walmart, it's more like 5-10 miles at a minimum
The portion of the population that does need cars just mogs the portion where public transport is feasible.
There is a big discussion that can be had about zoning, where planned neighborhoods are otherwise barred from doing things like placing a general store in the center of that neighborhood which would cut down on trips with cars. There is already lots of foot traffic from even places on the edge of residential aeras, my 70 year old grandma will bike to a gas station for smokes or food.
It becomes kind of moot tho when your factory job is 20 miles away and you use your car anyway because you're already in it. You'd have to make people unemployed for them to really want to not use a car. Not many are privileged where their job is close. My job is 17min by car which is considered a very short commute, I have one of the shortest commutes of my coworkers.

>Among the issues raised by some commission members were Muskās decision to insert himself in the presidential race, his spreading of conspiracy theories, the labor record of his companies and derogatory comments he has made about the transgender community.
>But on Thursday, military officials had seemingly reversed their stance, agreeing to commission requests to increase monitoring and to set up an inter-agency working group that includes U.S. Fish and Wildlife, the National Marine Fisheries Service and the Federal Aviation Administration to address concerns as the number of launches increases.

Now I personally, as a woman familiar with the linear concept of time, find these suits odd. How could SpaceX compete using a rocket it hadnāt yet launched? Sure, the āindefinite delivery / indeterminate quantityā contracts existed for the Falcon I, but that wasnāt what SpaceX was suing over. And yet, these suits got Musk what he wanted: more possible government contracts. In fact, such suits have been as much a hallmark of SpaceX as its rockets.

Reneg = renegade
Renegade = re (back/again) + negare (not)
Negare has same root as niger, which stands for absence, blank, black, etc. Which also is a stand in for the word white as well. So black=white=blindness in olden language.

It's environmental reviews and regulatory filings that eat up cost. The $3.5Bn for example, with NYC/Boston area, is $3Bn for construction cost due to it being a high density area, which creates a lot of downtime where the construction time is limited. On top of that union labor adds a lot of costs, and NYC being an island, means you have to import in the material a lot. $500M is just paperwork costs. Half a billion for some regulator across a dozen different agencies to read and sign off. It's become insanity. It takes longer for regulators in the US to sign off on a train track mile extension project than it does for China to build a station, lay a few hundred miles of track, and start the service--on its way to become profitable.

California is just as bad too. (Forgot to mention). To date, they've spent $11Bn and only achieved a 1600 feet segment of elevated concrete bridge section of their 100km or so high speed rail track. If the regulatory regime in the US was half of what it is today, we'd have taken over the world a decade ago.

tl;dr a commercial launch pad is apparently under construction in Xichang near XSLC, it's called "Western Spaceport", the state-owned company organising this so far has 1 billion yuan in funding (~$140M).
Not much details but it's largely described as similar to the Hainan commercial launch pads, so expect CZ-12 and other Tianlongs to launch from there.

your grandfather's X chromosome and your grandmother's X chromosome recombined during gamete formation, which means your mother's X chromosomes are a mixture of both her parent's
your mother doesn't have an unaltered copy of her mother's X chromosome, she has a pair of recombined X chromosomes that descend from both the X chromosomes her parents gave her
the strongest predictor of MPB is whether or not your maternal grandfather expresses MPB
because the androgen sensitivity trait is mediated through the X chromosome, and is sex linked
men are more likely to express sex-linked traits, because they only have one X chromosome

Maternal grandfather heritability is has been long debunked. I have a half brother who is bald. I'm over a decade older than he is and still have my hair whereas he was completely bald by age 30. We share the same maternal grandfather. My full brother also still has his hair. So did our maternal grandfather.
