Anonymous No. 865542

Any of you niggers used this shading techniques?
>I'm currently learning this for personal project.
Couple of questions.
Did you fags used it and did you like it?
Any other alternative methods?
Post personal projects for discussion and tips.

10/10 shader
Disney even made a whole CGI series that revolves around it but the animation looks like shit. I plan on using it some day for my own project.

It's pretty easy to get the hang of if you're used to messing around with nodes and shaders. I don't think it's something completely revolutionary, as it's pretty easy to understand how each of the nodes work under the hood if you've done NPR stuff before, but as a time-saving tool it's pretty useful.

Free version is just an uber-shader (a shader that does a bunch of shit, like the PBR node), but paid version is an addon that uses a layered-based approach (pic related). It's also got some buttons to set up the scene, since a lot of the effects and stuff are based on colored lights that it uses as masks.
They both do the same thing, paid version is just less node-spaghetti, and faster to get up and running.
Though there's like 10 minutes of learning how to fuck around with it (but it's got a readme that covers it).
