🧵 puzzle 8 ( 5/7 difficullty) puzzle_series_jp
John Puzzle at Sat, 22 Feb 2025 14:28:46 UTC No. 16596382
Finally, you're ready for the hard puzzles.
Instructions:
In each puzzle, 2 panels are missing.
You must select 2 of these panels—in the correct order—to complete the pattern. ( 46 is different from 64)
It is possible for the same panel to appear twice (e.g., “11,” “22,” etc.).
None of the puzzle require external resources. You do not need any special knowledge to solve these items. None of the patterns are cultural.
Lastly, you need to provide both the answer choice and the explanation. Feel free to use drawing tools to aid with your explanation. I encourage it so that it is clear to everyone what you are saying.

I am trying. Just finished dinner. I have like an hour of time so if I don't finish in that time, I'll have to wait till tomorrow.
This puzzle is making me think of walls.

Alright.
Take your time with this one. It is pretty damn difficult. Took me an entire hour to crack it.

Bump. Seems like the previous stuff is more popular.

this one is just harder so it's taking longer to come up with something intelligent to say
based on the last square I think this has something to do with number of unique angles or accessibility to other points if that helps anyone
I'm gonna take a break for a while and see what other people think

Where do you find these rpms, assuming you did not create them as you claimed in one or your earlier posts?
John Puzzle at Sat, 22 Feb 2025 21:49:57 UTC No. 16596795

They aren't exactly rpms. They are from an untimed test in google forms.
It's some chinese guy who makes them, but I wasn't able to get in touch with him in a while. I have no idea why he removed his tests.
I had some items saved because I shared the ones I found cool around with friends.

new panel new line thingie?

>>16596821
No.
How would you even differentiate between 24 and 42? Besides this being very arbitrary. Like a lot of puzzles could by accident introduce a new kind of line each panel.
Further more, it doesn't explain the dot. It just barely works until panel 6 where the dot clearly isnt near the new line you highlighted.

This breaks my mind. I was thinking something the along of lines 4 moves and the dot is linked to how the space is divided during those 4 topological moves but whatever my logic breaks down.

5,5?
Closest I got to a pattern is
1. Dot inside isosceles triangle
2. Dot inside right angle triangle
3. Dot inside no triangle
and
1. Area inside the triangle with the dot is 1/4
2. Same as above 1/4
3. 3/4 area or random
which doesn't fit my answer well but it's the best I got
