🧵 Bending magnet flux synchrotron radiation
Anonymous at Sun, 14 Apr 2024 02:32:21 UTC No. 16128150
I'm trying to get an expression of a bending magnet in the units of photons per second per 0.1% bandwith. A kind anon referred me to chapter 14 of Jackson 2 weeks ago. With that I have an expression of the flux in photons per unit frequency interval (see pic related).
Thing is, I want a confirmation that this is indeed the bending magnet's flux.
And I want to express this flux as mentionned above in units of photons per second per 0.1% bandwith.
Is all I have to do just re-arrange the equation to have $\frac{dN}{\frac{\Delta E}{E}}$? Is that it? Then obviously the experiment (simulation in my case) done over a second will give us the per second.
Also, if any anons know a place where the bending magnet's flux is expressed like the above please share. Often the equations I find are before integration over all angles.
Can an anon help me out?

How come there was less ice in the arctic ocean 6000 years ago when the atmosphere was less than 0.03% CO2 than there is now with an atmosphere of over 0.04% CO2?
Why wasn't it colder when there was less CO2 in the atmosphere?
If CO2 is really as powerful a greenhouse gas as science says it is then it seems like it should have been a lot colder with something like 40% less CO2 in the atmosphere.

I'm debating whether to study a MSc on climate change to work in the carbon bonds/climate risk industry. I'm already working in ESG reporting so I know a little about the sector but my grasp on climate change is very poor, so for me to transition into a good role I'd need more in depth knowledge, which is why I was thinking on studying a MSc.
Now considering the time and money I should invest, my question to you is, would people still talk about climate change 5 years from now or is it just a fade? Is it worth the investment?

If green land creates oxygen and green land is created by water and humidity.
If we could create some seas in the middle of Sahara and other arid places as Middle east, Austrialia. wouldn't that create rain and humidity for nature?
Let's say we construct some nuclear power plants on the coast of Sahara, that can power some big pumps, and a pipe as gazprom constructed in Europe. till the middle of Sahara. and pump water from sea few years
If it would be big enough, wouldn't that create humidity and rain?
