Well, that only took 11 hours and 50 mg of ritalin but I replaced the inner barrel with a madbull tightbore, replaced the polymer rail with a rather nice alu keymod one, switched out the hop-up for something nicer and converted it to HPA.

Some clone of a TM gas M-500 shotgun. It was nice in the beginning, but I swear it was a gas guzzler, then the rubber deteriorated, and then it literally broke into pieces into being completely unusable. It was a long time ago and I doubt I spent more than $200 on it, but still.

good charger and a couple batteries are like 100, and you need diff batteries for diff guns
you just need a tank and regulator for HPA and a compressor can be as cheap as 150 if you just have something small
granted I have an industrial compressor for a nailgun because I'm a handyman, but I also have a much smaller one I use for my airbrush I got for around 100
if you take care of the tank and compressor and don't let them rust etc it will literally last forever while lipos for example can be temperamental, just depends on what you like I guess
I started looking into HPA stuff just recently after getting into the AAP and it's very interesting

only thing you can even do is maybe transplant a better hop up bushing into it (90% is gonna require jerry rigging) and make sure nozzle, piston etc. don't leak air. And that's assuming the entire thing goes back together as intended and you don't get stuck with a bag of gun. Cheap springers are notorious for not being designed for disassembly.

maple leaf got too greedy and shot themselves in the foot with current series, old one was great. current one has ridge for improved sealing inside ML barrels. The problem is that they now don't seal properly in every other barrel that makes them useless.
Cheap and good hop up rubbers are kinda dead. I wish Systema Energy was still available, green G&G has quality issues, translucent Guarder is too soft for guns with +400 fps and is so soft it tears when you look at it funny, purple Prometheus costs double the price of others I mentioned if it is even available. No recoil, and poor range and accuracy. The weight doesn't matter too much as better guns usually use metal like the original. Knowing how to use guns doesn't really matter much either, other than probably having better safety practices.

HPAs are less maintenance then GBBRs, the Tippmann HPAs have recoil, you can use regular mags (not the OP propertiery GBBR mags) and some common AEG parts like barrels, hopup buckings and nubs. You just gotta submit to the dog leash, erm air line.

I had the MP7 kit printed for me by a friend, but i stopped using it after one game. It looks cool, but it's a absolute bitch to take apart, and put back together which makes maintenance horrible. I just run it default now and honestly i think that's the best way if you are going for performance in games. Lightweight and compact, and with upgrades it can hop heavy bb's far out. Only visual upgrade i would install is a fire selector if you are planning to use full auto.

Considering the local fields are only CQC cause we are in an urban area, would suggesting a Tri-shot shotgun be a good idea? A random cyma or ktw spas/m870 would go for about 50 euros and would make for an efficient if hard to master replica and it would be on the cheap side for eventual repairs since it's just spring and pump

Pretty much this. It got overran by wannabe navy seals that would overshoot, not call hits, and it drove a lot of the newer people away. A lot of the old school guys were already on their way out for one reason or another, whether it be life, finances, or moving, (myself included.) When I went back and played at that cqb field, only one of the people I knew was regularly still playing. The rest just dusted off their gear for old times sake.

I had my first airsoft game yesterday. My team was full of first timers noobs like me, using rented weapons and we played against some guys called "alpha team" or whatever the fuck. They all were a bunch of mid 30's guys(one of them was a fatso black guy) with bizarre weapons really strong, fast, full of lights and thing like that. I live in Brazil, so any entry level airsoft costs between 2-3k bolsonaros. We were totally destroyed every time. I got shot in my belly and this shit left a purple mark lol. How do i even compete against this without spending so much money?

Unironically, a ChiCom chest rig. Durable, simple, cheap. Carries enough for airsoft. The only mandatory upgrade is buying a plastic buckle for the backstrap.
I run mags in two pouches, a smoke grenade in the third. Side pouches for glasses wipes and dead rag. I see so many people just clamping so much shit onto their vests and it’s really baffling.

0.2l I think it get's around 300-400 shots. But it all depends on what kind of setup you are running. Like a Mancraft or something that doesn't use a lot of air you can get way more out of it. I only use the small bottle at fields with free refills otherwise it's gonna be a costly experience. For those kind of fields i use a 0.8 bottle in a molle pack on the back of my plate carrier

Why do people wear sooooo much protective shit while playing. I saw a dude in a full on IOTV, with DAPs, neck armor, and groin armor the other weekend. He wasn’t doing a milsim impression kit, I’d at least understand that, he was just wearing all that shit over non-military kind of clothing.
Even people wearing plate carriers that aren’t part of an impression kit seems total overkill for outdoors airsoft. I get maybe a CQB field where somebody might hose you down at close range like a dick, but in the woods it’s just a few hits. I really just am confused when I see people covering every surface of their body with padding. I’m not an especially toughguy or a glutton for paint, but airsoft bbs to the arms/chest/shoulders at most are a momentary flick.

they're made with PLA now at least the good ones. it's a bio thermoplastic
there's literally no difference
they're the same price here too, 1kg of BLS is 20 bucks bio or regular
>>118574
it's a request they make and it's not much to ask to keep the outdoors from being a plastic dump
especially when they're the same price
not sure where you would live where they're different, maybe it's the store

I think you're conflating 2 different issues: field BB's, and bio BB's.
I've been to fields and events where they request/require bio's. They sell also them, but mostly in case people run out of their own or forgot.

Is it Environmentally Friendly?
PLA production uses 65% less energy than producing conventional plastics and generates 68% fewer greenhouse gases and contains no toxins. It can be also remain environmentally friendly should the correct end-of-life scenario be followed.
However, the rate of degradation is very slow in ambient temperatures, with a 2017 study showing that there was no degradation seen in over a year of the material being submerged in seawater at 25°C.
However, PLA can be degraded by hydrolysis, thermal degradation or photodegradation:
>Hydrolysis: The molecular weight is reduced by cleaving the ester groups of the main chain
>Thermal Degradation: This process leads to the appearance of different compounds, such as linear and cyclic oligomers or lighter molecules with different lactide and Mw
>Photodegradation: UV radiation causes degradation, particularly where PLA is exposed to sunlight
There are currently four common end-of-life scenarios for PLA:
>1. Recycling
This is either chemical or mechanical. Waste material can hold contaminants, but ployactic acid can be chemically recycled using thermal depolymerisation or hydrolysis to create a monomer that can then be manufactured into virgin PLA. PLA can also be chemically recycled using transesterification to create methyl lactate.
>2. Composting
Industrial composting conditions allow for chemical hydrolysis followed by microbial digestion to degrade the PLA.

People are doing that RIGHT NOW with HPA tanks as their alternative to fill stations and air compressors.

man i don't think i've ever been as sore after a game as i am today. I am enjoying the speedsoft / CQB playstyle way more after i started getting into it compared to forest games. There's also opening a indoor field like 10 minutes away from me soon this month so that's cool

oh kek i'm retarded.
Well pace is definitely different. Woodlands people have a tendency to just sit still and wait people out and it ends up with both teams just waiting for someone to move, and it's hard to play aggressive because again people just sit and wait for someone to enter their crosshairs. Though it is fun when you manage to get around them and can pick off like 5+ guys at the same time. Also most of these fields at least here allow full auto which i think is lame. Also these sites also have many new people often and they have a tendency to be scared and sit all the way back, and they aren't easy to motivate to move forwards.
I prefer the adrenaline rush you get from CQB where there's pretty much constant action, and because it's semi you can actually make runs without being lit up by some dumbass with a ROF of like 30+ Also i know "speedsofters" gets a bad rep, but honestly they seem to be way more chill than woodlands people, and i haven't really had issues with people not calling their hits.
pic related is the field i was at this sunday. To force people to move you aren't allowed to enter the buildings which i think is a pretty good rule

God, I hate fields like this. Pallets and tiny 1-man shacks scattered everywhere. Speedball dressed up as tacticool. I didn't like it in paintball and I still don't like it in airsoft. They should at least try to emulate an urban environment. Group up the buildings, make city blocks, alleys, streets, vehicles, homeless encampments, prostitutes... actually, if they put in the prostitutes, all my other issues go away.

>Group up the buildings
There's a field near me that does it, and what it does instead is that people just sit in the houses the entire game and wait each other out. It's so incredibly boring. I like this layout because if you want to move forward you have to pretty much cross and keep low so you gotta have your angles in check and communicate with the others to cover you while you push up.

What are the game types? Where I play, there are buildings everywhere but nobody camps because that's recipe for losing. Even sniping is limited because you'll only have 1 lane to snipe, and people can just cross it quick.

I need your wisdom /asg/, i have an ics cxp 15 and a well mb 05, they're both 6/7 years old, how much can i resell them?
The ics had some use so it has some superficial marks and it needs to be oiled up inside, while the Well was basically a dust collector and works perfectly, it only has some factory defects like the magazine not staying right in perfect place and the safe/fire selector being broken, but it has a legit hunting scope and bipod which can add some value i guess.
Jow much can i milk of of them /asg/?
I'm thinking at least 300 € for both would be a good deal.

Yeah there's a big difference between "environmentally friendly" and "biodegradable"
It won't biodegrade in natural settings, it's still a plastic that's gonna sit there forever

I think you're being too optimistic. You're essentially saying these guns are years old, partly broken and need some teching, for somewhat under new pricing. But nothing ventured, nothing gained. No harm in putting it out there and seeing who bites.

>What are the game types?
On the left field, it's deathmatch games or kill confirmed. On the field on the right we play deathmatch and a mode where you have to raise flags. Sometimes we play on both fields at the same time as well. But it is mostly short 10-15 game modes we play, or something they like to call "5 fast" where basically if you are shot, you go down to the other respawn and wait until one team doesn't have more people on them, and we immediately start again. I like that one the most. Many airsoft fields have a tendency to have long brakes inbetween games, so it's nice to have something where it's just games stacked on games.
