Why does homosexuality persist evolutionarily speaking? Is it a consequence of strong hormone-linked behavior that made males indiscriminately horny to submit members of the group, or was it a reproductive strategy that turned some males submissive in order to satisfy the alpha and have a chance to fecundate females during the refractory period after the male's ejaculation? Since the majority of society is heterosexual i am inclined to the latter.
🧵 Boiler troubleshooting
Anonymous at Tue, 9 Apr 2024 12:18:17 UTC No. 16120755
I have a Weil-McLain boiler that cuts off in alarm after about 5 minutes of running. The boiler was just serviced 3 weeks ago. Pump pressures are good, electrodes were just changed, flue gas analyzer readings are within range, and I cleaned the flame scanner even though it wasn’t dirty. I took a multimeter to the control and it’s within range (5.3-5.5v) then around the 5 minute mark it drops too low and cuts it out. The fuel to air ratio is solid and the transition from low to high fire is like butter. The flame is very consistent before the boiler trips off so I don’t think it could be the flame scanner, it’s very rare they fail. Anyone got any ideas?

let's take two sets of values with 100 billion entries each. obviously we know only a small fraction of those values.
next let's sample a very biased subset of less than 1 promille and claim that the correlation of those subsets will accurately model the whole set and proof even a causation. let's call this climate science and use it to tax air.

Are organisms in other species distinctly homosexual? My community college ethics professor said "homosexual activity is observed in every other species". Is this literally just rape? Is that a valid argument for why humans should tolerate homosexual, especially male activity?

What is responsible for brain fatigue? Why the hell can you get tired of thinking? With muscles, it makes sense. You get lactic acid and the tearing of muscle fibers. But does thinking too hard produce waste products or destroy your nerves? Not really, no?

If you run a frozen bag underwater then place it on a towel, the surface area instantly freezes the water between the towel
Its like super velcro, but it's instant. Faster than a chemical reaction. The water cannot decide what state to be in because of the surface area.
