🧵 Raising IQ

Anonymous No. 16132665

Hypothetically speaking, if I was fucking stupid and wanted to raise my raw IQ in early adulthood, what would be THE most cognitively stimulating activities I could possibly do habitually in order to best achieve this goal?

Please tell me about any activities or drugs have been scientifically proven to raise performance on IQ tests over time.

🧵 Airplane Internet?

Anonymous No. 16132646

Legaliries aside, the phone recieved jnternet at this altitude(pic related, might need a cloudologist, I'm guessing 20k feet?)! It was only for about 20 seconds, but a text came through.

Now... How could a signal get up there? First off, that's a DAMN powerful signal, even if it was 4g, no info on that. Plhs, the antanea would have to be pointed up, which is... useless? An alteenative theory: a different plane with an antanea on it flew by somewhere briefly. How is this happening?

Pardon me gentlemen, but is it at all possible that mankind can live on the sun? Should this in fact be a possibility, or desirable, how might one do it? What potential drawbacks of living on the surface of such an intense gravity-well might one experience? What distances from the surface or core of the Sun would need to be maintained in order to live on the Sun?

I was watching this video on Perspective on youtube, they talk about how vanishing points are points in an infinite sphere with the viewer on the center, and that when projecting into a plane, three point perspective can be achieved if the vanishing points are not greater than 90 degrees from each other, and that the center for the field of view must be placed on the orthocenter of the triange.

What I don't understand is how does he derive a formula to know how large should the field of vision be for a certain angle. I know part of the equation has to do with a half cone to provide the viewing angle, but I have no idea how does it scale using the distance to the orthocenter.

Here's the link.

CORRECTION: the "technique" of watching. In other words, the thing recording the thing affects in the thing in order to make a measurement of the thing. If no one was there to "read" the thing recording the thing, it will still impact the thing without a conscious observer to record it.

>Francisella tularensis is a bacterium that causes the disease tularemia, also known as rabbit fever or deer fly fever. The naming of Francisella tularensis is quite interesting and reflects its discovery and characteristics:
>Francisella: The genus name, Francisella, honors Dr. Edward Francis, an American bacteriologist who first isolated and identified the bacterium in 1922. Dr. Francis played a significant role in early research on tularemia and contributed greatly to understanding the disease.
>Tularensis: The species name, tularensis, is derived from Tulare County in California, USA, where an outbreak of tularemia occurred in ground squirrels in 1911. Although the bacterium was not officially identified until 1922, the disease's association with Tulare County led to the inclusion of "tularensis" in the name.

I know IQ testing on the internet is too poor, but I don't know how an actual test from a psychiatrist/psychologist/related professions looks like (so that I can take the timed test and use answer key to mark the test myself manually). Is there an actual IQ test sample available somewhere?

Patterns are certainly a fundamental aspect of how we perceive and understand the world. In many ways, patterns can be considered the infrastructure of everything that exists because they are the underlying structures that help us make sense of the universe.

In mathematics, science, and even in our everyday lives, we often rely on patterns to predict outcomes, identify relationships, and create systems. For example, the laws of physics are essentially descriptions of patterns that govern the behavior of matter and energy. In art and design, patterns play a crucial role in creating aesthetic appeal and conveying meaning.

However, it's essential to recognize that while patterns are incredibly important, they are not the only aspect of existence. The richness and complexity of the world also involve randomness, unpredictability, and emergent phenomena that cannot be fully captured by patterns alone. So, while patterns provide a framework for understanding and organizing information, they are just one piece of the larger puzzle of existence.

I sucked at Math and Physics since I entered school. No. 16132056

Hi, so basically I am currently in University and I am struggling very much in Math and Physics, those subjects were always hard for me, heck even 7th grade Algebra is still a fearsome challange for me. The question is: Is it possible to learn Math and Physics if you never understood it and always failed it. I tried to read many books and solve many questions but even the easiest ones are just a huge wall for me. I destroyed my nervous system so many times trying to learn it and understand it, I even beat myself but in the end I fucking failed it, it just doesnt work out for me. I cant change the degree because others dont give any money at all, and considering the current state of the world I dont want to starve or whats even worse die.
