So I recently recovered some mocap data from my time in college and I want to add the animations to my portfolio but unfortunately I don't have access to motion builder currently and I can't find a way to convert TRC to BHV to use it in blender.

Any tips?

Daily reminder that even thought I can't afford the price of zbrush or likely most AAA tools, I still have bought every major indie 3D and art tool on steam and itch.io.

So far I have assetforge, pixel basher, kenney shape, pixelover, aseprite, crocotile and other tools like vroid studio and vrm posing desktop.

And yes, doesn't mean I can't brag to industry fags who make thousands, I still can dab on pirate fags who haven't bought a single tool.

Whats the cool, important and attractive 3d, animation or anything similar, design i should put on my portofolio then so to attract enough traction and then eventually potential employers?
Like good edgeflow, clean topo, realistic render/animatin
Etcetc*(everything else), how do i show these aspects through my portofolo and work pieces then? Maybe "alot of traction" i supose as the market/company now prefers as validation

Like how much or good should a piece of cg work be...either animation, illustrations, both are all doable in 3d. Just a definition of its content worth x dollars to the market. Something of a service so expecting alot of sales.

I couldn't find a Blender General so I might as well post it here.

This is a rigged Blender model with lots of options and custom UI controls to make it user friendly.

For those who used the previous (v4) model, this one is based on DAZ3D's G8F female which makes it easy to import DAZ outfits (which also work with bodymorphs).

What are the aspect of a 3d design that adds up to how many people will be buying it, as in the download/view/sales number? Like a 5$ hand model getting maybe 1000 downloads... how do you measure up the value of this model to expect a good amount of traffic etc.

Oh wait i guess you probably only know ctrl+D and how to pan the camera and usually just copy fanarts lousily and presses the sphere icon 1000 times and calls it hardwork that you cant be bothered to think yourself so dont sweat the big numbers too much and let the real designers answer this thread

I downloaded a model from generalbutch's collection and there's something weird going on with the model.
When I open it in blender version 3.2 the body under the clothes doesn't exist but the rig works.
And when I open it in Blender version 2.93 the body is complete but the rig doesn't work.
Anyone know what's going on here?
I don't really know a whole lot about blender.

What's the correct ruling on this? Would they have officially "made it" as a professional, or is starting their own studio for no reason other than not being hired by anyone technically freelancing? I can't help but notice a lot of popular people on art sites/forums have their own company, or are a high-level executive at a company one of their peers started. I see this more with Blender users than with other DCCs.

Is this bad? It seems average but some people get double of that. I don't get it, I get good feedback from 3d communities when I post wips, I manage to get to trending when I post on artstation, but ultimately I fall down really fast and the ratio is starting to get worse and worse. God forbid if I choose a day when someone team will do an art drop, I immediately disappear from first 5 rows while others hold their ground for much longer.

I know I'm getting better at this and am being noticed by more and more people in the industry, I do this professionally, but social media posts don't reflect it and it is making me doubt myself more than it should, but I can't help it. I'm even happy with where I am at this stage, but those stupid little internet points are killing me and immediately make me doubt my skills. Every time I post now is making my day ruined because the views and likes are getting lower despite getting more followers.
