ποΈ π§΅ LLMs and inability to create readable text?
Anonymous at Thu, 21 Mar 2024 14:34:29 UTC No. 16089468
currently I have a question and theory I'd like to test but first I need to understand how and why LLMs have issues creating legible text.
Can anyone point me towards any scientific papers that explain why LLMs have this problem?

Let's start a pure /sci/ thread.
What kinds of chemicals do I need to make artificial life? What glassware on AliExpress do I need to buy? I have a $1,000 budget and need to make a protocell in order to usher in an age of nanotech and finally accomplish something in my life.
Don't say "this is impossible" or "you are schizo". I want a list of chemicals and a list of easily accessible glassware (e.g. erlenmeyer flask).
Also...

I am so sick of this chubby Asian man body! Thank you! - CHAUL JHIN KIM (a.k.a. A DESPERATE SOUL)

It is difficult to understate just how much psychological damage occurs in the young mind in never experiencing love when it was supposed to. It creates invisible but ever present and outwardly manifesting psychological wounds that may heal over time, but never disappear. It is a lifelong crippling of the mind, affecting things like confidence, self-esteem, healthy thought processes, and inability to cope with the difficulties in life in a healthy way. It breeds attitudes of perpetual envy and anger and depression. Especially when said individuals are constantly bombarded by images and media of people having lived their best life while they missed out and can never experience, ever. Because time is only linearly forward.
A means to try and "heal the mind" which has already happened for many who have resigned themselves to apathy and quiet resentment, but it doesn't remove the scar. The scar is always there. Always present. And it will always serve as a reminder, and always influence future thoughts and decisions and actions.

I'm a college student and I have a really hard time getting to work and studying consistently. I probably have ADHD but I don't want to waste my hard-earned money on a psychiatrist for a useless diagnosis. I know people who just take modafinil/ritalin when they need it but I'd rather avoid drugs/medications.
One thing I've noticed is that when people expect me to do something, or when my work is to be directly graded and compared with others, I get very motivated and productive. But alas there's no such competition/camaraderie in college and I'm all by myself. So what usually happens is that I do nothing for 3 months then try to cram an entire semester's worth of classes in seven little days before the exams.
Tl;dr: college student, can't get to work, can't study consistently, what do

Does yesterday exist or are we always progressing towards the future and away from the past, leaving behind nothing and play everything in a future context?
Seems likely as everything has waste energy which is our death-trail from the past, and all life moves together, making the future come to be for all of us.
You can't travel back to the past, you can only simulate a past event by matching the waste energy lost, and you can't travel to the future, it would require that all things move differently, whilst remaining logically astute.
You may be able to rewind time in a time bubble.
You may be able to speed up time in a time machine.

The sun is a sphere which radiates heat in all directions right?
Shouldn't there technically be a goldilocks zone in space around the sun where the ambient temperature in space itself is around Earth's temperature? Let's say 15-32 Celsius.
Could there be water just free floating around that band? Microorganisms living there? Maybe even suitable for life free floating in a man made river encircling the sun if we wanted to do so for shits and giggles?
