There is an infinite number of reals between 0 and 1.
Therefore, the chance of picking any single real number between 0 and 1 is zero.
So how can you pick a real number (or anything from an infinite set) at random?

🧵 Chinese excellence
Anonymous at Sat, 29 Jun 2024 00:22:39 UTC No. 16259019
Considering the average IQ in China is 105 compared to the European 100, then according to the IQ bell curve, around 60,000,000 Chinese people have a 130+ IQ. Only 24 countries have an entire population greater than that.
So then how come they aren’t intellectually and /sci/entifically dominating everyone else right now? How are others competing?

/sci/, let's talk about the "Clathrate Gun Hypothesis". For those unfamiliar, it's the idea that warming temperatures could destabilize methane hydrates in ocean sediments and permafrost, leading to a massive release of methane—a potent greenhouse gas.
fearmongering syllogism here:
>Methane hydrate (clathrate) stored in permafrost and ocean sediments
>Climate warms up
>Permafrost thaws and ocean temps rise
>Methane hydrates start to destabilize
>Methane (CH4) released into the atmosphere
>Methane is a way stronger greenhouse gas than CO2
>Feedback loop initiated
>More warming leads to more methane release
>More methane release leads to more warming
>Runaway greenhouse effect
>Global temperatures skyrocket
>Catastrophic climate change
>Humanity down the shitter

Topologists!
The answer to Question Minuscule is as follows: there are twelve questions (six forward and six backward) each of which can be answered into either the forward or backward direction, as many times as desired. However, each answer or group of answers must be *answered for* (a separate answer) four-thirds many times in the same direction (and one-half of those four-thirds answers-for must be done *to* the opposite direction).
In addition, though we discussed two questions-for, with which the answers of Question Minuscule can be answered for, there may be other questions-for not answering for Question Minuscule.
The answer to Question Majuscule is as follows: there are six questions (three forward and three backward) each of which can be answered into either the forward or backward direction, as many times as desired. However, each answer or group of answers must be *answered for* (a separate answer) four-thirds many times in the same direction (and one-half of those four-thirds answers-for must be done oppositely (which is not the same as "to the opposite direction").
In addition, though we discussed two questions-for, with which the answers of Question Majuscule can be answered for, there are actually sixteen other questions-for not answering for Question Majuscule, for a total of eighteen.
