what the fuck do you do when your walk cycle limps. or floats. or jitters. pops. whatever fuck.
what the fuck do you mean by adding weights

🧵 lets start simple

opening new thread to kill old ones No. 884572

how do you animate "idle" animation? basically maybe brrathing which body parts expand from lungs and so...
or generaly a loop like walk cycle in which the first and last positon has to meet.
i tend to make unwanted motion like lacking balance, limps, floatinf or jittering.... is there some sort of guideline to this?

i cant imagine disney animators staying at it for years and fail to produce a good short in a month at least.

the idea answer to this would be some mechanical ways to maintain balance in both legs like the same kind of distance and height, but i couldnt find much about this despite all the many good animations in the internet...

Have any of you wizards successfully built OIIO for win x64 with all tools working? What I get in stock blender has no tools. I'm at a point where I'm reading Larry Gritiz's archived posts, saying its near impossible to build. What were they thinking?

🧵 ok ok

Anonymous No. 884512

man lets see if this works

i wanna animate straight ahead basically, or pose to pose, whatever, the point is to know whatever position i should place to either add frame or inbetween, so that motion looks... however i want it to look?

like how do i know or what do i need to remember to be able to inbetween, or draw poses and motions the correct-est way possible

and that s all

Trying to avoid unwanted limps and floats, jittering in my walk cycle, or generally any looping animation; it seems to suggest i should learn about kinematic and procedural motion, but t be honest, i am not exactly sure at what i am looking at, other than positioning all the body parts in some sort of balance to one another? Can someone help explain more to me as in what would "not limping/jittering/floating" constitute? thanks

so I want to start 3D modelling a cityscape using real topographical data.

is there a better way to import satellite height maps into Blender than ripping from Google Maps? or is that generally considered the most accurate source for geo data?

I'm a Graphic Designer trying 3d for over a fucking decade. I'm mediocre and just plain bad at it.
Today, I've finally decided to do something difficult! I'm gonna be using Maya, 3d coat 4.5, maybe zbrush and Corel draw. I'm gonna post all my progress in here, because if I don't push myself to do it, I never will.
I don't know how to do good transparent or metalic textures and I don't understand shit about hypershade. Hopefully, my friendos will help me with the difficult parts? Let's go.
