I'm a man, I'm 1.65 tall (5'5) and I weigh 60 kilos (132 lbs). Is it true that lighter fighters wouldn't stand a chance against heavier fighters? No matter how much technique and training using weights to gain mass, I would never even have the strength to knock out? I would weigh more if I wasn't sedentary now and lifted weights, but I wanted to know what you guys think, because if this is true of not having a chance against stronger or heavier people then I won't even do mma or boxing so I don't waste my time. So in short, would i stand a chance against heavier and stronger people or can i fold since I wouldn't win anyway?

Genuine question. All my friends usually pin me as having cool interests. I've boxed all my life, I ride motorcycles (made me sell my sports car), I backpack, love to travel to cool-ass nature spots, I paddleboard, snowboard.
What else can someone do interest-wise that is cool in the eyes of others?
My take has always been that nobody else ever seems to give a single fuck like 99% of the time. Only friends and people you're dating seem to care in the slightest.

hey /xs/ this is my cat Rupert. I'm going snowboarding soon in france and i'm bringing him with me. Does anyone have any experience involving snowboarding and pets?
Could I snowboard with him, would he run alongside me? Thank you. If he can't join me on the slopes he can just stay in the chalet and i can share pictures of the snowboarding with him

Yes. It's a good workout, and it satisfies the instinctual part of you that always asks "I wonder if I could get on top of that?". Find a climbing gym near you and give it a go. Focus on bouldering at first. Going alone is perfectly fine.

You have to learn how to belay. Almost every climbing gym has toproping courses if they have toprope walls. You will also need a belay partner--this is easier to find than you think. Just chat with other boulderers or approach someone alone on the auto-belay.
>How do I start bouldering outside?
Buy a crash pad and look for nearby boulders on mountainproject (or your regional equivalent). Don't be stupid and always have a descent plan. Prepare to be humbled.

There was a spinoff event Pride FC held called Pride The Best Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3. It only lasted for a couple of months in 2002 until it went defunct.
I can't find any footage of the event beyond 1 fight, a snippet, gif, and the screenshot of the ring. I don't think there were any dvds sold of the event or if its on UFC fightpass.

For me, some limitations are questionable.

Almost any mma fan knows it's a stupid rule.

It's cruel but so is "ground and pound" and it's legal. I would legalize all ground kicks, except head stomps.

As far as I know, straight piledrives are banned but throws with arc are legal, even if the oponent lands on his head. Are these these things really so much different to ban one of them?

I know they're devastating but so is Silva's kick to the face and nobody cares. Headbutts are cool and should be allowed.

What do the fighters of /xs/ think of the "one hand for grabbing and one hand for striking" stance? Basically you have your right hand back covering your face in a open grip ready to strike but you have your left hand in front of you to grab.
