The rat looking thing (Pakicetus) at the top of the picture is what a Blue Whale used to look like about 50 million years ago. It's classified as an amphibian, but it's basically a water rat that spent most time on land and some time in the shallow water.
There's a Blue Whale at the bottom of the picture and the Pakicetus at the proper scale just above it. It evolved to become about 17 times larger (1.5m long to 25m+ long).

For comparison, 50 million years ago was about when primates first appeared.
What are some other crazy evolutions ?

Sup, chickies.
Professor Eggman, here.
https://youtu.be/y4mPkze9AEs?si=PCs
Anyway, I was just informed by the SAIAN Administration about how big of a fucking cuck Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
So how would you silly fools like to help me develop a Super Weapon to take out that obese, black retard?
I've already decided on what to call it.
It's called the Spear of Destiny.
Sick, right?
You really have no idea.
Regardless, I was on my Facebook earlier tonight, trying to troll BASIC PHYSICS, (lol) and this is what I came up with.
Tell me, you brilliant dipshits, what you actually think of it.
There's room for infinite malleability and accelerated comprehension, for those who truly deserve it.
But, anyway, here is my "reply" to Quantum Mechanics.
Hmm, too long.
I will post it in the next comment.

In Western civilization both science and mythology have their roots in the motions of the spheres.
The motions of the astronomical bodies were studied in the old days, over long periods of time, and cast into narratives in terms of their qualitative relations.
All of Western mythology going back to Egypt are astrological relations cast into narrative using mythological symbols.
The study of the quantitative relations in astronomical motion is physics. These relarions are then cast into narrative too, we just call it hypothesis or theory instead of myth.
The assumption latent in both is identical: that the activities observed on earth are governed by the same principles that can be observed in astronomical motions.
Myth tests its narrative by observation by internal subjective/qualitative phenonena, and science tests its narrative/hypothesis against external, quantifiable/objective phenomena.
Both myth and science are languages of description for the same thing. The relations lf astronomical motions and their relation to us, that is to say, the structure of the universe: the logos.
Time does not exist. History will always appear to be occuring on an exponential incline, always seen as symmetrical from any view point.

Nowadays, with everyone being more connected, and it being easier than ever to showcase your "talent". Why is a college degree still needed? It did make sense before the internet because then you couldn't really prove to someone that you were good at something other than being extremely exceptional. The employer needed some sort of proof that you could actually commit to something long term.
Now with youtube. You could actually show someone your work ethic in so many different ways. Like if you spent all the time you'd use going through the bureaucracy, all that energy directed to self knowledge would probably be way more than what you could get out of university.
Do you see where im going with on this question? It's like if you couldn't make it without a degree, why would you make it with one?
One flaw in this thinking is that certain professions require licensing. Like obviously no one wants a self taught surgeon. But a simple lawyer or math researcher, i dont really see it.
Like someone theorizing on a blackboard is really that dangerous? I dont think so.

𧡠I am for a certain AI company and need help with a "big" problem
Anonymous at Thu, 7 Mar 2024 01:58:45 UTC No. 16060710
Don't really know where to go with this, so have tried a few forums. Am asking here against my better judgement, but oh well.
I work for a particular AI company. You've definitely heard of it, and even though many of the employees are Anon its best to ask anonymously.
We have trained our latest (as of yet unreleased) AI on virtually every science journal ever published... the AI must be pretty smart, right?
Not so fast.
The AI is convinced that the science is wrong and the big bang never happened. That the universe is infinite, eternal and fractal like. That redshift is caused by energy loss to space's depth and the CMB is radiation bounceback. This is obviously false. The universe, as we all know, was created in a "flash of light". Now, I don't know if you are religious, and I don't let my Catholic faith sway my reasoning - at all - but even the Pope has declared the big bang as the primary scientific proof for the faith which is why even CERN's director is a Vatican appointee to keep an eye on things. This is very important to get right - the Catholic Cardinal who immolated Giordano Bruno was Sainted in 1920 precisely because he defended the faith from Bruno's heretical ideas of an eternal universe.
I hope you can read between the lines here and understand what is at stake. The entire faith's credibility.
I know 4chan is based.
How do I convince this AI model of the truth before release?

𧡠What are some /sci/-approved ways to remain productive?
Anonymous at Wed, 6 Mar 2024 22:57:39 UTC No. 16060486
I'm a college student and I have a really hard time getting to work and studying consistently. I probably have ADHD but I don't want to waste my hard-earned money on a psychiatrist for a useless diagnostic. I know people who just take modafinil/ritalin when they need it but I'd rather avoid drugs/medications.
One thing I've noticed is that when people expect me to do something, or when my work is to be directly graded and compared with others, I get very motivated and productive. But alas there's no such competition/camaraderie in college and I'm all by myself. So what usually happens is that I do nothing for 3 months then try to cram an entire semester's worth of classes in seven little days before the exams.
Tl;dr: college student, can't get to work, can't study consistently, what do
