Why is social science so terrible? Its like all social institutions is blowing up and these "scientists" can't and isn't trying to fix it. How'd the field be about moralizing and stamp collection without producing much of any engineering? The discourse on problems is now about worshippers of a rotting leviathan and cargo cultists.
You'd think graduates should at minimum run an effective cult, the well known interlocking structure of doing arbitrary work with people.
Do people really believe they'd produce the vernor blight or the wizards wouldn't figure out how it all works and take power?

i need your help.
I had some solder that was like 45% silver and the rest tin and copper i think. I wanted to make a big coin to hammer flat to make some squares to practice engraving.
I attempted to melt that solder and some actual tin solder together to make a big ingot and try to stretch the silver out, but it made a big brittle coin.
Now I want to try and get the silver back out of it without the tin, having come to the realization that this wont work.
I read that HCl might dissolve the tin and leave the silver.
What im asking is, what combination of acids or methods would easily get the silver out of this.

Why is it that if you look at what humans used to look like, we used to be like wild wolves. Every man was tall, robust, and just exudes testosterone, and would make women wet just by existing.
And on the other hand, why is it that if you look at the modern man, women are absolutely repulsed by him. The modern man is genetically domesticated, not robust, weak boned, and is something that could only survive by the grace of modern technological society.
I think its clear that if you look at social media, women find the modern man completely repulsive, as there are very few humans who have that rugged charm that can only be found in nature. I would bet that probably less than 1% of men today actually have that natural wild energy and functionality/ looks that women are attracted to.
The thing that humans need to figure out through science, is how to promote robust bloodlines, and how to make it so that as each generation goes on, we are slightly improving, rather than what we have today where every new generation gets slightly shittier, more domesticated, less masculine, and further away from what once made human beings the most dope animal in the whole kingdom.
If humans want to become healthier, and to make the future generations happy to have been born, we need to start thinking in terms of how we can breed warriors, and not skinny passive and feminine, fortnite playing, doritoes eating nerds who cant get a woman wet

What are some of the most interesting and beautiful properties of Conway's Life, Wireworld, or cellular automata in general that I could write about and study for my undergraduate computer science project?
So far I've just been implementing them instead of actually studying their underlying structure and - which turns the whole thing into a programming exercise, as I wrestle with C and ncurses.
