>When presented with a reflection, fem.ales gazed into their own eyes and made friendly gestures, such as lip-smacking and swaying. Males made more eye contact than with strangers or familiar monkeys but reacted with signs of confusion or distress, such as squealing, curling up on the floor, or trying to escape from the test room.[31].
What is wrong with male capuchin monkeys? Do you also do this /sci/?

The newest version of Windows has a built in, unremovable wrongthink preventer which cannot be disabled.
What kind of effect is this going to have on the scientific community which relies of computers for all of it's calculation and communication needs?

So, my sister just went and got herself a stationary water filter installed for her place, sold by some saleswoman a neighbor talked her into meeting at her home and supposedly convinced her.
Now, here's the thing β the water quality in our area is actually pretty decent, despite europoor vibes sometimes. But she's all about that extra peace of mind, you know?
She's mainly concerned about potential medication contamination in the water supply β from birth control pills, antibiotics, and all sorts of meds that could find their way into the system. Plus, there's the whole issue of old pipes that might be leaching who knows what into the water. So, the filter is supposed to tackle all that.
Like, is it actually safer to drink from the tap with a filter than to chug from those plastic bottles?
Curious to hear your thoughts on this, Is the filter overkill, or is it a smart move? And how worried should we be about plastic bottle water?
No conspiracy theories please.

The problem with the dark forest hypothesis is that even humans already have the technology to determine the atmospheric composition of exoplanets, and also have a rough idea of biosignatures and technosignatures, and by analogy, the biosignatures of earth have been open to the galaxy for several billion years, so if there were advanced civilizations that wanted to exterminate early life preventively, they would have wiped out the earth based on biosignatures several billion years in advance, in case life evolves and gains intelligence and brings risk to these civs. So this hypothesis sounds very unlikely nothingburger and it's strange to me that this point isn't being raised. Thoughts?

When the orders are reversed, the names that come up first were also graded higher.

Math is pretty esoteric when think about it.
Things like complex numbers, calculus and infinite series have an occult vibe within them.
So why most education systems try to teach those subjects in the most boring way possible?

I'm sick of anons who think this is valid reasoning. Fuck evolutionary psychology. It's backwards rationalization of your own pre-determined worldview. You don't even know why you act the way you do so you have no clue why others act like they do.

Why is it controversial to say that human races have mental differences between them? It just doesn't make any sense. Yes, humans have a genetic bottleneck but humans have diverged since coming out of Africa that their physical features can be wildly different. We have the blacks, the pinks, the yellows, the abos. All look very different from each other physically.
There are differences in Race when it comes to medicine. White People are more prone to skin cancer than any other race due to a lack of melanin in their skin. Black people are at higher risks for high blood pressure, certain types of cancers and diabetes. Asians are at higher risks for liver disease than other races. Mixed race individuals are more likely to have these risks offset due to being biracial or multiracial but in some cases their risks of diseases prevalent in their heritage might be higher. Just like there are differences in biological sexes for treatment. Some humans like the Badjao or the Tibetans have evolved higher lung capacity compared to the average human.
So we have all these physical differences, affecting even diseases and medical treatment but somehow mentally we are all the same? That's kinda fishy no?
