🗑️ 🧵 Why do so many people claim that CO2 is bad?
Anonymous at Mon, 25 Nov 2024 20:56:38 UTC No. 16493268
Adding CO2 to the atmosphere makes plants more productive, CO2 is plant food.
Adding CO2 to the atmosphere makes plants more disease resistant, since CO2 is plant food the plants become healthier and their immune systems become stronger as a result of that and plants require less fungicides & insecticides to grow.
Adding CO2 to the atmosphere makes plants require less water since plants lose water to evaporation from the same apertures they absorb CO2 through, thus adding CO2 to the atmosphere makes plants more drought resistant.

what factor determine the economical value of a human life ? Why is this many human being unable to build many more trains so they can travel safely ? Why do this many indian are not a wealth in India, but first world country need them to do manual labor ? Do first world country live on old wealth they acquired from the past ? Does a random european / american become worthless if he's relocated to a third world country, unable to survive, to make a living ? Do first world country need the rest of the world to remain poor in order to live comfortably ?

I am interesting in learning/self-studying numerical linear algebra. What are some "projects" I could try to do on my own? Ideally stuff that would require applying knowledge or learning new things and also would look good in a portfolio.

I can suggest an equation that has the potential to impact the future:
E=mc2 + AI
This equation combines Einstein’s famous equation E=mc2, which relates energy (E) to mass (M) and the speed of light (c), with the addition of AI (Artificial Intelligence). By including AI in the equation, it symbolises the increasing role of artificial intelligence in shaping and transforming our future. This equation highlights the potential for AI to unlock new forms of energy, enhance scientific discoveries, and revolutionize various fields such as healthcare, transport, and technology.
🧵 Light as a phenomena... not something tangible...
Anonymous at Mon, 25 Nov 2024 18:38:45 UTC No. 16493101
I got an idea recently that photons aren't innately real. Rather the perceived photonic event is the interaction of quantum fields... or fields in general. As a quantum tunnel collapses... see sonoluminescence. The understanding of light as a collapsing quantum tunnel preserves thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and general relativity. As a massless... timeless... "force". The generation of light is not from a photon which doesn't but allegedly does interact with the medium of space or whichever medium itself. Rather colliding fields as a quantum tunnel collapses causes friction and generates energy.
I'm way out of my league... I got this and don't touch warp drives in prayer. Can anybody help me expand on this? Light as a phenomena... not a real agent or thingy. I'm just tossing this theory out there guys.... I really don't understand this. Photons themselves aren't real. Rather the quantum tunnel collapse leaves a particle. Complex quantum structures increase decay resulting in waveform phenomena upon observation. It's kind of like it's past is eternally present since the phenomena of the photon is timeless.... however as a Complex Quantum dataset observes IE... interacts with it. It rapidly decays... as it's then a dead phenomena. We aren't seeing photons... we are seeing the quantum fields surrounding the tunnel that is collapsing... interact. It's more friction of fields than a legitimate agent.

🧵 Why are autism and ADHD basically the only two neurodevelopmental disorders?
Anonymous at Mon, 25 Nov 2024 17:17:45 UTC No. 16493016
Besides a few minor learning disabilities (which aren't even in the same league as autism and ADHD) why are autism and ADHD the only neurodevelopmental disorders that really exist? Why aren't, for example, OCD or schizophrenia neurodevelopmental disorders (ie necessarily present from birth)? Why aren't there many various neurodevelopmental disorders rather than only two main ones (at least psychologically speaking)?

i decided to integrate chemistry into my cooking hobby. lately i have been using sodium bicarbonate and citric acid as the main way to adjust pH in my recipes, but things start to go wrong when i want to make a food like caramel. i need to bring it to a high pH in order to promote the maillard reaction, but then i want to neutralize it afterwards. this produces a bunch of sodium citrate which i wish wasn't there.
if i switch to using something powerful like sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid, can i make these same pH changes while producing less salt? i need a lot less of these bases and acids to do the same pH changes, so i would assume it to be the case.
