I'm going to start boxing on tuesdays and thursdays. How would you go about strength training to supplement the boxing? I want muscular endurance and explosiveness(tailoring a program to be boxing specific). Mainly looking for a split or full body program that can fit into my schedule. High rep squats? Push press? Landmine punches?
I have a high tolerance for working out and i eat in a caloric surplus.

Long story short, I got jumped by 6 guys and they kicked the shit out of me (fractured my face). Realized that even though I trained years ago I forgot how to fight and I'm looking to get back into it. I got a few options near me they are.
>Muay thai gym ran by a former pro fighter I looked up his fights on youtube
>Krav maga school ran by some krav maga guy can't find any videos of him having pro fights but in a lot of their videos they do sparring and scenario training
I'm conflicted between the two on one end, I got jumped by 6 years so not sure if the krav school is what I want or on the other side I want to actually learn to fight and train with fighters not just jerk my dick and pretend I can fight. What would you pick /xs/?

🧵 japanese death match pro-wrestling as real sport?
Anonymous at Mon, 8 Jul 2024 23:00:04 UTC No. 203582
I know pro-wrestling is acting\scripted, but is it true that vintage japanese version had no clear script, such a bunch of rules and agreements to stick with (properly) pro-wrestling holds and moves? I'm pretty sure the early wrestlers had to learn judo, boxing, etc
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puro
it says p.w. somehow led the way to shooto and pancrase which is pre-mma? What about Death Match, where they get so many real injuries, scars, sometimes very serious wounds- is it a real extreme sport, with high risk and frequent hazards-?

🧵 What should I do all summer while I’m wearing a cast?
Anonymous at Sun, 7 Jul 2024 04:28:59 UTC No. 203362
I injured my wrist playing rugby back in May. After spending the last month and a half trying to figure out what was wrong (nearly all of which was spent in some sort of brace or splint), I finally got word on Friday that I have a torn scapholunate ligament that’s gonna need surgery to fix. The surgery is scheduled for 22 July. After the surgery, I’ll be in a splint for 2 weeks, followed by a hard fiberglass cast for 8 more weeks. I’m pretty bummed and have no idea what I should do with my time this summer. Any suggestions? I’d also appreciate any suggestions for dealing with a cast during the summer. Thanks.
