I'm working on a main character model for a game, and this main character needs the ability to equip different sets of clothes. I've been looking around the net, trying to find examples of how this is done, but I'm having trouble finding anything.
The only method I know, is where you basically cut the model into parts (hands, feet, legs, torso, head), and swap those parts out. The problem is, this method leaves obvious seams across the body of the character.
I've also seen some masking options, but those leave the topology underneath, which basically doubles the polygon count.
Anyone have any insights or links to good examples?

Can someone break down how Tales of Arise’s art style works? It’s honestly one of the most striking ones I’ve seen, and even holds up to offline-rendered stuff like a certain Netflix show based off a MOBA.

Clay Build Up. What alpha do you use in your sculpting workflow? Alpha 28 (the square), Alpha 06 (the circle) or no Alpha?
The faggots from FlippedNormals say the best is to use the no alpha one but I want a second opinion.

I got into 3d in middle school, because i wanted to do something "creative", but after some time and a job in the industry i completely switched to drawing and lost all interest in modeling. All my friends who work as 3d artists don't like it either l and want to switch to 2d if they could, but jobs there are harder to get. What keeps you interested in 3d? Good animated traditional animation will look just as good in 100 years, while a good animated 3d animation will look outdated in 10-20.

What do I do? Engineer, harness design.
What program do you use? NX.
What did you do today? Basically picrelated, which is a stock photo because what I'm working on is (obviously) proprietary. I was creating dressing instructions for a complicated electrical harness we're installing. This picture shows an installed condition, but I was working on a ship condition, with the product to be finished at the customer's shop.
*~*Thread Question*~*: How'd you get started? I answered a contracting ad for harness development after finishing my ME degree and that was that. I learned everything on the job although CAD math was part of my degree concentration.

I'm having a lot of trouble understanding hips. I've been under what seems to be a false impression that they should always be angled downward from the weight bearing leg, and in this new practice shot I'm trying they appear to be angled downward towards it in the reference. What can I refer to to help me understand this better?

I am playing cyberpunk and every thing looks really high res for a game. I mean the textures and model poly count. How do they do it? Characters look like they have 4k textures even though they dont. What is the trick? And I am playing on medium-high with my shitty 1660 and getting 40-50 fps.

Hey guys, I really don't know how to make head models for my game characters, It just seems so complex i dont know where to start, I dont need the mouth (teeth, tounge etc) but even things like lips, eyes, nose seem complex. I dont like sculpting so my only option is poly modelling, I have watched Darrin Lile's tutorials but I think his modelling method is bad. Any good resources or tips? Please help me. help me.
