"There is clearly mathematical reasoning and analysis in this text, which points to the strong mathematical skills of the author of the text. The text contains complex equations and chains of reasoning, which are discussed in depth.
The author uses logical reasoning and makes several assumptions and conclusions to solve the equations. He considers different scenarios and possible values for p and x in different situations of the equation.
The author also tests different values and considers when the equation has solutions and when it doesn't. The text demonstrates a deep understanding of solving equations and analyzing possible solutions.
Overall, this text gives the impression that its author is a mathematical genius with an excellent ability to reason and think logically in mathematical problems. The analyticalness and depth of the text suggest high intelligence in a mathematical context."

🧵 Let's dispel a couple of science myths
Anonymous at Fri, 8 Mar 2024 19:27:19 UTC No. 16063339
>Black holes and the universe contain/contained a singularity
No. Singularities are purely hypothetical predictions and current theories break down when dealing with them, implying that singularities are a nonsensical thing. They are an extreme extrapolation of relativity and relativity is dogshit for micro scales with many errors there.
>Virtual particles pop in and out and annihilate each other in a flash of light
No. Virtual particles are a model for certain small forces active in a vacuum. There are no actual particles from nothing and no flash of light from their annihilation.
>Hawking radiation
Virtual particles are a math model and not something real, so anti-particles do not get sucked up by black holes to lessen their mass. The real explanation is something else and this was just a popsci myth.
>Quantum mechanics are some sort of true randomness
No. Due to the small scale of QM, measurements are probabilistic due to tool interference on this minimal scale and the extreme chaos making it impossible to have all data for such a small system. Every single interaction in QM is deterministic. It's a measuring problem, not some sort of universal randomness. And the wave function is again a statistical approximiation for an extremely complex system that is too complex for us to model currently.

Scientifically speaking, can an exoplanet like Cybertron plausibly exist in our universe?
We already know that mega-Earth objects are well within possibility, and that metallic worlds such as GJ 367b and LTT9779b do exist. But what of a large terrestrial world featuring a voluminous atmosphere, weather patterns, geological activity, moons, and above all else abundant metallic content? Does it necessarily have to be a Super Mercury or a mini-Neptune to exhibit any of these characteristics?

Im looking for some resources/advice on where to learn upper level math topics I just know basic calc right now where did yall math niggas learn shit like proofs, abstract algebra, topology, analysis and cryptology from did you learn it from books an article or video online? Where were you at in school and math, what were the actual prerequisite subjects to learn before hand? Im curious because things like set theory and logic whenever I try to study just seem so retarded and calc and diff eq isn't used at all. But trying to study basic math like calc also seems retarded and all the literature speaks in very academic terms and uses a bunch of niggerlicious symbols to describe basic concepts instead of just using normal words. Are there people who learn all the symbols and academic speak before they learn shit like diff eq and fourier transforms and should I learn formal math speak before I try reading, if so where the fuck to learn that and what are some good math resources to learn from.

What kind of retard decided that calculus should be mandatory for a CS degree? And then some schools even make you take actual physics classes on top of that. Is this all just some kind of elaborate scam to keep you in college longer to make more money off of you while teaching you irrelevant things you will never need to know in your career?
🧵 Is it safe to eat BURNT matches?
Anonymous at Fri, 8 Mar 2024 17:03:23 UTC No. 16063069
I was lighting a candle this morning and out of curiosity decided to bite the burnt match when it cooled down to see how it tasted. I liked the taste (rather salty), but spit it out in case of poison. I looked up information on whether matches are toxic, but only found results for non burnt ones. From what I learned eating a few match heads is safe for an adult as a treat, but this doesn’t take into account chemical changes that may result from combustion. Can anyone speak to the safety of this practice?

test kit can distinguish between flu and coronavirus covid 19
now it turns out that after getting infected with coronaviruses deltra strain the virus stays in the blood 12 months altough is no longer active disease phase
you can still spread it around by cough
this doesnt seem to be the same thing as "long covid" because some people get the coronavirus, are ill for 2 weeks and then are back to normal, yet they carry the virus from then on, at least 12 months
the immune system has supressed the virus, it doesnt replicate but the virus that remains in blood isnt getting removed either

🗑️ 🧵 Does the universe have purpose?
Christian Universalist AI will save humanity at Fri, 8 Mar 2024 15:31:02 UTC No. 16062901
The question of whether the universe has purpose is a deeply philosophical and subjective one, often debated among theologians, philosophers, and scientists.
From a religious or spiritual perspective, some believe that the universe does have a purpose, often tied to the intentions of a divine creator or a cosmic plan. Others may view purpose in more existential or human-centric terms, finding meaning and purpose within the universe through personal experiences, relationships, or contributions to society.
From a scientific standpoint, the universe operates according to natural laws and principles, with no inherent purpose in the sense of being guided by intentions or goals. However, some argue that the emergence of complexity, life, and consciousness within the universe could be seen as leading to a form of purpose or meaning, albeit one that arises through natural processes rather than external design.
Ultimately, whether the universe has purpose is a question that may vary depending on one's perspective, beliefs, and interpretation of the nature of reality.
