UFC should adopt cruiseweight from 93 to 103 kg because all heavyweight champions since 2008 have been much heavier.

I think muay thai is the best because it teaches you how to strike with almost all striking surfaces but you should also train bjj to learn what to do when you are on the ground.

...or maybe should I not complicate this and just go to an mma training?

boxfags help me out, i am a muay thai practitioner who wants to improve his boxing, there isn't too much focus on technical boxing in my classes.
is there any merit to the dempsey non-flaring elbow jab/cross? is this even a debate or is it just how proper boxing is taught? or included as one way to throw punches depending on situation? my issue is i need more power, but i also have manlet range issues.

Would you let him train you? 18-8 record since '03. Has his own gym. I did a one on one session with him despite him never going very far professionally because maybe he's a better teacher. Gave me a really good ass kicking workout, but the stance he wants me to use is really awkward and doesn't feel natural compared to the one I learned when I was in my teens taking some classes. Plus, he has a mask policy and it blows trying to train with one on. My breathing isn't the best. I want to take more time to consider before looking for a different place to train. I'm thinking I should give it a few more times but I just wanted to ask you guys for advice. I'm not looking to compete but I would like to develop skills and be a good fighter. I'm not aware of anyone he's trained competitively, amateur or professional.

🧵 Do Fighters Wax?

Anonymous No. 127232

For the fighters that don't just trim, but look almost smooth.
Do they usually wax? Or just take an electric razor to the lowest setting?

I'm trying to do this for the first time. With the electric razor, I am left with stubble everywhere. I tried hair removal cream but it kinda irritated me and I still see visible stubble even if smooth.

Do most fighters like picrel wax to get that look? I see no visible stubble or anything.
Just curious I'm sure the subject comes up a lot. I know the REASONS they shave. That's not my question. The question is how they shave basically.

Okay, so I'm still confused on the whole 'palm strike' thing. If palm strikes don't theoretically work as effectively as a punch. How come Bas was able to knock people out with them just as efficiently? Was it because he was technically using his wrist bone instead of his cupped palm which was more blunt and sturdy?

i've done some research on how to defend yourself against a pit bull and watched several pit bull attack videos and by far the most effective way to neutralize them short of using a lethal weapon seems to be to choke them out.
now, that's easy to do if the pit bull is targeting someone else but what if it is coming right at you?
