For character models that are always going to have between 4k/5k faces. A thousand or more of these faces will be for the face/head area only since it's there that I'm going to put the most details and 3k for the rest of the body.
I'm obvisouly a beginner but I'm going for a very specific video game scope so I'll never need to get into more polygon. I plan on getting better at texturing to make these models look good but I need to be greedy as fuck on the polycount.
Unless sculpting has a long term advantage, I feel like polymodeling might be the answer but why are there so few up to date content related to polymodeling?

How good is blender if we include blender addons?
So far I use retopoflow, modifiers tools and simply cloth.
I wonder if I should go full schizo mode and install the most addons I could.
Any anon here can give me advice.

Anybody knows of a good 3d scanner iphone app that let's you scan a room and export a file to blender? It can be janky (pic related), I don't care. I would rather pay a price for the app than pay for each scan.

So, I've basically got the gist of 3D animation with blender so far. About moving bones around and recording keyframes. The blender general is dead and I don't have anywhere else to ask so can you help me understand the finer concepts?

Let's say I need to copy all my keyframes from frame 5, I press Ctrl + click keyframe, it selects the keyframes from frame 1. I want to copy ONLY the keyframes from that current keyframe alone.

Am I the only one that thinks every asset should be included in the new Asset Browser by default instead of having to "mark an asset to be visible in the Asset Browser" or whatever? They should remove that cringe Fake User shield "feature" to go along with this too. Am I wrong?

There are so many threads going "how into make psx models" but I want to know how to make PS2-era models. Where would you even start for this style? It's so elegantly done yet with very few polygons.

im a beginner at daz and after a week of struggling and asking other artists plus my mental condition where i have trouble getting things done i finally found out how to use the view pan with the mouse so the boom/jib and truck. daz default settings suck.
amyway what would you think of a sphere on a stick as a 3d mouse. like a gearstick with joints ro control the view why is there only one brand that makes 3d mouses and it's a wheel

You can do anything with it, inside blender.
