I've been 3d modelling on and off for like 3-4 years. At some point I stopped liking it so much, and it's been kinda downhill from then. I just can't really subject myself to open 3ds and do smth.

What is a successful way to create a full 3d model from a single photo, single angle, concept photo from Stable that is an exact replica, but has depth? I know researchers are working on this, but it only works on human heads in a trained neural network, not wildly differing concepts

I painted with vertex painting in blender, now i'm trying to import it into unity. how do I do this whilst keeping the paint? i exported as FBX and dropped it into unity, no textures.
i tried exporting as .obj, and it gave me an obj and an mtl, which i can't find anything about online.

In maya I'm having trouble with UVs. My meshes are so long that I do Select/Shortest Edge Tool to select a line of edges and then in the UV editor do "Cut". But, this only cuts one half even if symmetry is set on. Now I'm fucked.
The "symmetrize" uv tool in maya is horrible. Is my workflow awful? I cant be selecting all these edges by hand for all these meshes, I will literally go insane, and if I have to make changes to the model I'll have to do it alllll over again.
Is rizomuv better?

What in the actual fuck can be wrong with this simple object? When I try to remesh in Blender the pc goes crazy, cpu and memory at their limits, literally must physically press the reset button because you cant even use the mouse.
Theres no weird geometry/vertex/faces, or edge fuckery, its very simple, tried making quads from tris but its the same BS
Tested just in case and I can remesh anything else just fine
Happened in Blender 3.1, now using 3.4 but no change, what in the actual fuck open sores sisters???

I want to become proficient at modeling hard surfaces, props, and weapons in cinema 4D but I'm not sure if use C4D because Maya or 3DS Max is the standard for studios and in general, Is there something I can do if I really like C4D?
