Hi, I'm just getting started with rendering things in blender. I tried rendering this cube with my handpainted textures applied but I seem to have some sort of seam around the border of my cube's edges. I'm guessing this has to do with the lack of padding around the cube's uv layout so yeah how do I fix this

Is follygon's Modmesh shit worth it? I like the way his stuff looks, and I would love to buy the mastery course thing, but its over a hundred dollars when its not on sale, and I'd like to get some kind of review before I drop that kind of money on some base meshes and videos.

When learning to creating models, is it better to learn the typical fundamentals first then shift to learning about low poly or should I just start with learning low poly first? I intend to mainly do low poly first or at least PS2 level of poly and i'm not sure if, for whatever reason, learning normal high poly modeling could be detrimental or waste my time instead of just skipping over to low poly stuff.

what are some good methods or techniques for doing 3d gibs and other weird gruesome stuff? or at the very least, depicting broken bones or injuries? are models instanced to replace the original model with broken parts? is that animated in manually or is there a workflow that supplements this?

How much time do you think this should take? I'm working on this for 12-14 hours total at this point and honestly I expected it to go faster, but there are many minor issues along the way and they sometimes take unexpected amount of time to fix. For example, when I choose a face for custom transform orientation and start moving something, snapping to vertex/edge stops working as expected and instead snaps things to some weird locations, which makes some things really hard to model or cleanup. I wonder are there any plugins or workflows which make it easier/faster to model stuff like this?

How would you go about making a wheat field that
>will be seen up close
>is in-engine
>needs to be optimized
>has destructibility
>is dense
So that the 3 main concerns are that it can't consist of a ton of individual strands that are laggy and easily seen through, it can't look dogshit if approached in first person, and will look right if a chunk is removed via programming. Stylized is fine and encouraged as the intent, but shouldn't explicitly come off as fake (e.g. a big rectangle with a solid texture). It doesn't need to be fancily animated, or sway, though the capability to have subtle animation would improve its value. It would benefit if there was some transparency between strands, or the illusion of transparency to a degree that is aesthetically desirable. Bonus if this technique can apply to other such thick, continuous foliage like a field of grass
