I'm having trouble with bloating and it seems things are staying stuck in my stomach or intestines etc... Since bacteria helps break down food would it be wise to ingest feces? My own feces of course to try and encourage the bacteria to break down the food.
Thanks in advance.

Earth is not a globe for the simple fact that there is no physical barrier between our atmosphere and "the vacuum of space".

Detecting a pattern for me often comes with a feeling or a "buzz." I think of thinking itself as a kind of feeling, because when my brain detects a pattern, itβs like responding to a specific stimulus whether things are adding up or not. The the lower the intelligence, the less stimulus the less detection of patterns.
Some patterns are immediately obvious to me, and I can actually feel the feedback loop happening as I work through them. I can replay it in my mind, hold onto it, and break it down. But other patterns take longer for me to understand immediately. That's because the "logic chain" is too long for my brain to track it all at once. For more complex thoughts, I have to go through each step slowly to follow the pattern and get the feedback, unlike simpler ones that are clear right away. meaning that I have put more of my focus just for that one thought chain, which filters me from being able to engage in higher thought of those who are 130IQ+, especially in real time conversation.
at the same time, I have better intuition for certain kinds of topics that people who are clearly more intelligent than me don't seem to understand because they fucked up somewhere in their axioms. which makes conversations ever more frustrating because you can't explain to them why they're getting something wrong. it's not always like this, but it's really annoying when it happens.

explain the emergence (or nonemergence) of the phenomena of consciousness under physicalism.
what are the least components needed to create the simplest generic awareness?
and how can it be possibly described in an equation if at all?

The probability is literally 3/6 = 0.50% -- there are 3 boxes out of 6. If you disagree, prove otherwise WITHOUT using Bayes or the "law" of total probabilities or other made up nonsense (and no this is NOT the Monthly Hall problem)

Isn't the speed of light being the limit evidence for and not against absolute reference frame?
The absolute frame of reference being the electromagnetic field itself.
And speed of things being limited because as you go faster and faster you keep catching up to your own radiation and since physical and chemical interactions of matter are mediated by this very same radiation things start to go "bad" due to experienced frequencies getting close to infinity...

I still can't fully wrap my head around the fact that fractions, divisions, and ratios are all the same thing. I think this is an example of what Terence Tao said is what is beautiful about math, unexpected connections in seemingly unrelated things.

𧡠Refractive Eye Surgery
Anonymous at Wed, 27 Nov 2024 02:58:19 UTC No. 16494810
I know one of the best refractive eye surgeons in my area, and several of my family members have had their eyes done by this guy. All of their experiences were very positive. Despite the anecdotal expericences, I am hesitant to move forward and decide on which refractive surgery to do. I am skeptical by nature, which I suppose is to be expected given that I have been on this website for many years.
I have had my eyes measured. I am a good candidate for LASIK, PRK, and ICL. The surgeon is willing to do whichever procedure I want. I forgot to ask him if he does SMILE, but I don't think he does.
I have done my research. I watched lectures intended for experts in the field on refractive eye surgery, I know the pros and cons between the different procedures, potential complications, etc. Despite my learnings, I still can't decide which procedure to do.
The ICL costs about twice as much as PRK/LASIK, but I don't care about the cost. I just want the best optical quality possible -- day and night -- with the highest probability, and the least amount of post-surgical complications with the lowest probability.
Has anyone here had refractive eye surgery, or have any knowledge to share about the topic? Which refractive eye surgery should I do, and why?

𧡠Face is gaunt after calorie restriction
Anonymous at Wed, 27 Nov 2024 01:55:25 UTC No. 16494753
I'm a 27 year old guy. Back in February I read this blog and research paper about how restricting calories slows the aging process in humans. In March I decided to start doing that to slow aging and to lose weight and I cut my calories back to between 1400 and 1600. It's now November and I weigh 115lbs, my face is gaunt and my body looks like shit. I stupidly didn't check my TDEE before I started to see how much I should reduce my calories by and now my TDEE Maintenance Calories is 1796 at Sedentary because I only walk between 4000 and 7000 steps a day. Is it possible to gain facial fat while calorie restricting?
