🧵 Wholeness vs unitism
Anonymous at Sat, 6 Jul 2024 19:12:58 UTC No. 16270608
I know that I swore off math because it was killing my youth, but I just can but to be utterly bewitched by her charm.
But I really cannot help but to take an opportunity to shit on set theory and all cope theorists out there. You might know me as the famous and well known discoverer/inventor of Hitomi's number, Hitomi analysis, Lain point theory, solver of the crux problem, savior of real numbers, monad theory, ouroboros monad theory, fractal ouroboros monad theory, and yes the one that mathematically proved the existence of god... not necessarily a Christian god, and also gassy sets.
Lately I had been taking on a more greek approach to things. I realized that set theory is so fucking limiting that I would have never thought about the radii of numbers. This was one of the things I was talking about when I was developing lain point theory and how math is really just this misunderstanding within our minds of a far too fundamental process. Math is somehow both fundamental and transcendent; fundamentally transcendent. Set theory is an utter crutch to mathematical thinking. While yes low grade schizophrenia did deform my mind it deformed outward where as set theory will deform inwards leading to atrophy of a mathematical spiritus.

🧵 scientific question about mutation and evolution
Anonymous at Sat, 6 Jul 2024 18:07:40 UTC No. 16270541
everyone knows that evolution is all about mutation and selection. mutations which are advantageous in some environment, meaning that the mutant has more offsprings and passes on more copies of its mutation ends up dominating the gene pool until another mutant comes along and repeats the process.
So this means that speciation can not happen if the mutants are constantly mixing with their parent populations because every mutant (potential new species) ends up replicating itself with an already existing species. So this means the only way speciation can happen is if a bunch of mutants get together and just have incest for a few generations until mating with their parent populations becomes impossible. i am pretty sure my logic is unassailable and no one on /sci/tard can prove me wrong.
🗑️ 🧵 Evolution by random mutation and natural selection is fake and gay in complex speices
Anonymous at Sat, 6 Jul 2024 18:02:45 UTC No. 16270532
DNA does not exist in a vacuum. All shitty mutations are either fatal or meaningless noises for natural selection. You can't plug a fertilized egg with DNA of an ape into an elephant to get an infant ape out. The language subtrate maybe universal but the way to interpret the language isn't. It depends on the spieces and also on the invididual. if you plant an egg that was ferterlized into the womb of another surrogate mother, the child that come out will be slightly different from the one that would come out of the original mother. in extreme case of the planaria worm, their DNA is so buggy and shitty that most of their individual characteristic and fitness actually depend on how the individual "fix" their own DNA expression instead of the DNA itself. the DNA almost become useless and natural selection works on the individual level instead of the DNA.
evolution by random mutation of DNA and RNA might have been important for living being that are simpler, such as bacteria and viruses. however, they're almost noises in more complex species. hence, evolution of species like humans and apes not only depend on the random mutation of DNA but also the experience of the invididual changing the way their body interpret the universal language that is DNA. we can observe this in individual over their lifetime. probably this even has greater effect on selection than some shitty random minute DNA mutations.

🧵 Overcoming the Fear of Not Being Extraordinary
Anonymous at Sat, 6 Jul 2024 11:16:33 UTC No. 16270174
I know I am not going to rise above the rest. Of course, I don't put in the hours; I don't fight and struggle while no one is watching, nor do I have the confidence to believe that I could be extraordinary. However, despite that, I still feel a sense of dread. I'll just come and go, with no great works, no lifelong devotion, and no adversary to fight or become a marauder to. Some nights, I say to myself, "Starting tomorrow, I will let nothing stop me. I will devote my life to (x)." But when I wake up that same "tomorrow," all I think is, "Why would you do that? Just live a normal life and let the truly great people be great." This mentality I have in the morning lets me know that "greatness" is not running through my blood. So, I ask, how do I become content with not being great? Or should I just have no love life, no money, and devote myself to an area of science that I'm interested in, with the great hope of becoming a footnote in some obscure textbook?

In which field is the research work the coolest? I'd say mathematics is a strong contender
>you don't have to fight for huge grants like in the sciences, you can chill and do what you want without worrying about financial side of your research
>your results are pretty much unquestionable (if you prove something other mathematicians just aknowledge it, not like in philosophy and social sciences for example where your research is basically a bunch of opinions that even your students will disagree with)
but there are drawbacks
>your work is mostly done alone which might be good in some sense but there is not much room for cool collaborations and team projects like in sciences and engineering
>less potential to go on some secret projects for govt/private sector that give you big bucks
