You cannot call yourself a 3d artist if you aren't proficient enough with glsl to at least write a simple raymarching algorithm from scratch.

whats your hard surface workflow in ZBrush?
Do you save the lowpoly shapes before doing any detailed work?
Or do you work with dynamic subdiv enabled the entire time to have the lowpoly version still available?
Or do you just retopo the model later with zremesher or other software?

Rooster = me using software like character creator and Vroid and ripping koikatsu porn animations and kitbashing my enviroments from
videogame assets and kitbashing them with painting them on Substance painter and weathering them using substance mask, using mixamo auto rigs and using kinect360 mocap and cascadeur animations coupled with mixamo animations and cartoon animator 4 webcam facial mocap and making millions on patreon from a AAA porn game.

I have a really simple question, /3/, but there's so much info out there on the web I can't make heads or tails.
I'm not a 3D person. I know how to sculpt, and nothing else. But I need to use 3D models in my graphic design work. And for that I need perfectly orthographic, rendered materials.
I honestly have no fucking clue how to do it. Blender? A rendering program? I have no idea. I literally just need a lit, high-res render of an orthographic view of a PBR texture, or possibly a Substance.
Where do I go?
Pic sort of related. I need that, but like, flat.

What are some good resources for animating 3D faces? I am struggling to make people smile in 3d even more than i do in real life and would really appreciate a few tips, videos or some shit that tells me what i should focus on to make more believeable expressions and not just stretched sideways and back lips that make a zucc smile anyway even after tinkering with eyes and cheeks for an eternity.
Any software. It's all moving bones around in the end anyway.

Realistically, what are my chances of ever getting an Nvidia RTX GPU at something close to MSRP?
I use AE for motion graphics; I've been wanting to incorporate 3d work for a while now; but something about the lighting and materials always looks shitty. I want to get Octane or Redshift. Just the idea of shelling out $1000 for a $400 card pisses me off; I don't want to reward that kind of behavior.
