Wanted to remake my asuka render in godot 4.0, but seems the alpha makes my GPU driver to glitch so I'll have to wait until a beta to seriously start making final 4.0 renders.

But I've gotten my render to look more like a real render and not some default godot render.

:)

There was some areas I could improve, but I just wanted to render the model, and is 1 AM to like spend more time on this.

I want to create very basic textures for my stylized low poly characters. Basically the textures the character in this image has where it's a color gradient with some AO and highlights.

Would forking over the cash for Substance Painter be enough to achieve this with my no artistic skill having ass or would I also need to git gud with photoshop?

Currently I'm using color gradients and creative UV placement, but my workflow is ass and means I have pump up my draw calls through the roof if I'm using multiple colors. I'd rather just bake it all into simple textures and have one draw call per mesh.

Weight painting in Blender fucking sucks help
First of all, for some vertices, it will add even when weight is at 0% in mix. Second, no matter what I do, I always get an almost completely solid red, with only the very edges being between 0 and 1. What the hell am I doing wrong?

I want to make some jank-ass 90s renders. Am I better off using actual jank-ass 90s software to do it? I've dicked around with modeling but I have zero fucking technical knowledge about how to achieve this look and it seems like even default setting renders in modern software look way less jank than I want so it seems like the path of least resistance to use the actual shitty technology of the time. Thoughts?

I know there aren't many cadbros here, but let's try.
Is there any smart way in solidworks I can emboss this emblem on a rounded surface, in such a way, that it's circular in cross-section? With wrap you can only get this hard edged emboss, and trying to fillet something like this is ridiculous.
