How are artists holding up finding a job these days? It feels like every one of these artists have to go around begging for money on patreon. Does that art have like a unique or special hidden trait to it that i don't get it so perhaps i should spend more time researching carefully into different artworks so i can start seeing this implicit deep meaning in it?

Beginner here, would you say this is a good base for me to start building a face off of? Any noticeable issues? Been struggling with these for a while, so I'm looking for pointers on what I should focus on improving. Any help is appreciated
š§µ hiring artists is a genuine waste of fucking money.

someone has great portfolio, you hire them and their art sucks and is nowhere near as good. apparently they didn't practice enough to be consistent and are only doing this for money instead of love for art, so they do the absolute bare minimum to get hired for a job. too busy playing video games instead of practicing art, only studying when they need to get 2 models on their portfolio. they are also anti-social as hell, they don't care about the project, have zero interest in the company and you can tell from their monotonous voice they are just desperate for a job and don't care about anything else.
None of you deserve a job, and I'm glad you're all struggling with how much money & time you waste from companies from doing bare minimum

Well shit, isn't that Ironic.
What machines would you recommend to replace it in a ~1000-1500 bucks price range? I don't care if the fans are noisy or it gets very hot, i just need it to perform good when i'm away from home.
Bonus thanks if its design isn't glowing gaymer jet engine shit.

If I post my work here, i'll be unable to post it on youtube or traditional forums because I'll be associated with this place even though moot started it, sold it, and still got hired by google.
This is why I can't just post my work. It pains me that I can't get true anonymous feedback on the work I'm currently doing.

Even on paid sub Maya 2024, Quad Draw is still buggy for me. Doing stuff it shouldnt be doing, locking me out of being able to extrude what I want and only letting me edit a small area, requiring constant clear history. Is it like this for anyone else?

Hello, Last saturday i was informed by an internet chum of mine about blender. I have never used 3d modeling tools before and was interested to give it a try, had an old housemate show me some stuff about 10 years ago and it looked tedious and overly complicated and i had no pc at the time either.
I have now used blender for less than 24 hours in total and am enjoying learning, have made 2 (well 1.5) things so far.
My E-Chum also informed me about this board, as he said it can have good info here now and then so here i am.
I like sculpting the best so far and spent 3 hours today experimenting with geometry and extrusion, inset tools etc, so may check out this more often.
Thank you for reading my blog.

What are the best ways and programs to do this?
And which Ai/programs can create these scans as 3d models best?
Have some experience with Blender and Sketchup
Looking into selling 3d stuff

Any idea what algo they use? I've experimented with Magic3D, Dreamfusion and many more ai driven 3d generation algos and they all suck and take ages to generate anything and yet Meshy AI can generate anything in under a minute?!
There's also a competitor called Genie that does similar.
Any idea what they use?

š§µ How long does it take to animate something?
Anonymous at Mon, 13 Nov 2023 06:37:41 UTC No. 964023
I am interested in picking up animation (porn animation, in specific) as a hobby.
I'm feeling confident in my modelling skills and want to move on to animation.
Pic-related is a ~50 minute long film, and I am currently using it as a frame of reference, but it's going really slow.
How long does it usually take for you to animate a minute of content?
