in 1st year at some local CC
>tried humanities, hated them
>tried law, hated it
>tried to dabble in the arts, hated them
>tried to dabble in the medical path, proficient at bio/chem but don’t want to work in clinic
>hate finance/the thought of taxes
>don’t care for business/consulting

Only logical step seems to be engineering; Have an A in Calc I and I’m on my way to having one in Physics I, (heard calc II will end my life) but the stuff I’m good at in physics is everything but statics. Rotational mechanics, kinematics, work/energy I’m fine. Intuition-based free body diagrams? Dogshit.

>mechanical engineering isn’t for me because i hate statics
>havent taken physics II so dont know if id like electrical, need to apply to a degree by december
>chemE is totally fucked in entry level sector

Not passionate about anything. I’m good at math, but that’s about it. Seriously considering pivoting towards compsci/software eng because that’s where the moneys at.

Thoughts?

Let me start by presenting this concept, chirality (pic related)

>Chirality /kaJˈrælJtiː/ is a property of asymmetry important in several branches of science. The word chirality is derived from the Greek χείρ (kheir), "hand", a familiar chiral object.

>An object or a system is chiral if it is distinguishable from its mirror image; that is, it cannot be superposed (not to be confused with superimposed) onto it. Conversely, a mirror image of an achiral object, such as a sphere, cannot be distinguished from the object. A chiral object and its mirror image are called enantiomorphs (Greek, "opposite forms") or, when referring to molecules, enantiomers. A non-chiral object is called achiral (sometimes also amphichiral) and can be superposed on its mirror image.

I just have a hunch it's related to my following question:

Question: What are some proven or possible effects of having your head aligned, or tilted in a certain direction.

For instance when you are in bed, and you turn to your side, or lay down (stomach down), you might have the left side of your head facing the pillow, and the right side of your head facing the sky/upwards.

When you use the other side of your head, your right side of the head faces downwards, and your left side upwards.

When I assume one of these positions, can I be aligning my head with some sort of field or force that can have some effects on my brain, my psyche, my reality?

I have personal experience that leads me to believe that the effects actually exist, but I don't know how to call them or what they are.

And by effects I mean, my reality can change, when I switch sides.

Initially I thought it was actually dependent on direction, east vs west, but I now believe it's the sides of the head facing up or down.

Is it possible that terrorists infiltrate the crew of an experimental fusion reactor, pump it all full of deuterium and trigger a nuclear explosion with its ignition system? Islamists did infiltrate plane crews to do 9/11, so I wouldn't be perfectly sure that's entirely improbable, also after all getting a *fusion nuke* would be a great reward.

🧵 Skipping

Anonymous No. 16293038

Is it a natural or learned behavior?
How does it even work? I have yet to find a rigorous scientific explanation or breakdown of the human "skipping" gait.
Why is it more common in children but stigmatized for adults? Is this universal or cultural?
How does it compare in terms of speed/efficiency to other modes of human locomotion?

I personally think it is likely more efficient than either walking or jogging, but it is simply too stigmatized for serious consideration.
I've heard anecdotal evidence of unfit military personnel passing their fitness tests by "skipping" through the 1.5 mile jog.
