Why do some people make the claim that Einstein predicted gravitational lensing?
Thats an absurd statement, gravitational lensing of light is fully expected and predicted both under newton and even under the ballistic laws before newton so long that it is assumed that light, which has been known to have a finite speed for centuries, is also affected by gravity. The idea that photons had no mass came after Einstein (and isnt backed by either experiments nor logic, its a statement invented to make other weird theories work)
Forget about photons to, gravitational lensing is expected if photons have mass, or if you forget about photons alltogether and instead just have the axiom that light, whatever it is, is affected by gravity.
So why the Einstein lip-service? The only thing his theories introduce are paradoxes (proof of error), and the "proof" you will hear about constantly are gravity lenses, a phenomenon expected under Newton so long as light is assumed to obey gravity as well as the rest of observable matter?

🧵 3D Printed Houses?
Anonymous at Tue, 10 Sep 2024 01:02:12 UTC No. 16370861
Are 3D printe structures really viable? Are there any real use cases for this technology? It's still in it's infancy, relatively speaking, and there is still very little information about it to be found. The majority of what I've seen seems biased and meant to attract outside investment by making vague and unqualified claims. Any anons more familiar with this? If so, what are the pros and cons? Do you think it will see wider adoption in the mainstream? Is it a solution, or just an interesting curiosity?
I actually applied with a 3D printing housing startup based out of southeast USA some years ago, sadly I wasn't accepted and I never got to get a closer look at this new technology. (Im aware it isnt actually "new", strictly speaking, but afaik this particular application is still pretty obscure)

Virginijus Šikšnys is a Lithuanian biochemist and a professor at Vilnius University. He is a chief scientist at the Vilnius University Institute of Biotechnology.
He developed gene editing method a month before Jennifer Doudna and Emmanuelle Charpentier on the bottom, but unlike them Virginijus Šikšnys didn't get nobel Prize for his work.
Because these women had more tight connections with academic sphere and their work was not even reviewed but Šikšnys's work was rejected for no reason
>Since 2007 Šikšnys focused on mechanistic studies of CRISPR-Cas, the newly discovered bacterial antiviral systems, and was among the first to demonstrate programmable DNA cleavage by the Cas9 protein.
>According to Šikšnys, his article was not even considered as serious by the editor board of the academic journal and was not sent to the reviewers, therefore the time needed to be recognized as first was lost.
>Martin Schlak reported that Šikšnys submitted his article describing DNA cleavage by Cas9 to Cell Reports on 18 April 2012. After its rejection without peer review, he sent it to PNAS one month later, and it took several months for review and publication. In the meantime, Jennifer Doudna and Emmanuelle Charpentier had published their findings in Science where their findings were reviewed and accepted within two weeks.
Also after some time there was a report that shared some money from nobel prize, It looks like he was paid to keep quiet
