Any tips, guides or tutorials for modeling the adult danger zones? Obviously they won't be on youtube because the human body is a sin and cannot be witnessed.

Houdini is built from the ground up to be a procedural system that empowers artists to create great footwear commercials.

𧡠How to make a 2D hair card react to changes in light?
Anonymous at Wed, 14 Sep 2022 18:05:54 UTC No. 918049
I know the limits of a hair card system like pic related.
But...
Would it be technically posible to make a 2D texture in a quad, add basic subdivisions and make it deform around a cilinder or something.
But...
How would you make it react to the light like if I drew a geometry using a toon shader?
Some shadow painted mask used as a fresnel or as a normal map??

Was there anywhere shared what he typed out in the prompt?
Also wheres the original competition rules, he just printed out the png and sent it in, wouldnt they require the original, how does that work:?

My front view snaps to -Y axis for some reason. I canβt find out a way to change it :(
I can't believe I didn't notice this until now. Been working for a month and I just realised why my orientations are all fucked up when I import my stuff elsewhere. How do I fix this?? I can't find an option to change world axis :(((((((((((((((((((((((

why do we need animators anymore?
we can do away with concept artists and pretty soon 3d modelers / level designers too.
How long until videogames are made at a fraction of the cost with AI doing majority of the work?

Those programs are mostly used by people not interested in doing things from scratch and rather interested in creating characters quick, so isn't that exactly the field AI will get a strong foothold?
The technology is currently developing in breathtakingly fast speed, basically exponentially.
It will still take a while until AI imagery will be quick enough for realtime scenarios like games so I guess the Maya crowd will be fine but the character creators for comic pictures and such? Looking bleak for them

Look, Blender just refuses to work for me. I've reinstalled this many times and updated drivers but it's not working. What's happening? I try to open it and nothing, just a white screen and not responding. I have to try to open it many times, opening and closing, for say 5 MINUTES!
Before I get a grey screen and now that this time it will let me open. It's impossible to work like this, there's no workflow unless you were to keep it open forever, which you can't do in case it crashes.
So either a solution or another free alternative to blender because this is insufferable.
𧡠Making a bootleg version of Arc System works workflow.
Anonymous at Mon, 12 Sep 2022 03:12:44 UTC No. 917615
I remember being inspired by Arc System works GGXrd conference like 10 years ago.
So, today I can confirm I've used my blender and 2D and 3D skillset I've gained since them, to produce a much much cheaper style, that seems to be like 80% of Arcsys quality, but I think produces better imitation of 2D, in some details.
Taking into account pic related took around 6 hours of work from scratch, I'm pretty happy It gives a similar result to Arc sys (in the sense It imiates properly 2D look) but clearly without months of hard work.
As such, is a cheaper imitation, but one suited to indie game developers budget, who clearly lacks million in terms of skill and money.
So far, I'm extremelly happy with this workflow, but I clearly need to fix some issues, like finding a cheap way to create the hair details of anime hair strands by maybe drawing some hair strands as SVG in Inkscape then importing as SVG and converting as mesh.
Tomorrow will test that idea.
Also, grease pencil could help me with making inner lines, but I think a simpler HD texture with lines and alpha set to mix shaders could do the trick.
Made with Krita and Blender and aseprite and a sprite sheet addon.
pls rate.

Is it even feasible to model dynamic cables/tubing in Fusion360 (trying to model a PAM)
I'd be willing to switch software to Inventor or Autocad if it's possible in one of those programs. I just refuse to use something such as blender.
