Can someone apply a smooth modifier to a model of the F-117?
I don't have to experience with 3D software but was wondering how the plane would look if it was smoothed out.

🧵 Help me with a texturing conundrum
Anonymous at Sun, 16 Oct 2022 20:14:06 UTC No. 922230
I have substance painter and designer.
Each of these wall models have their own UVs for now.
I could do a smart uv and pack them all into one file, sacrifice texture quality, and then bake a procedural concrete material to them. No guarantees they come out seamless.
Or I could use substance designer to create a seamless wall material and then use it with painter. But the problem then would be with overlapping UVs if I were to import them all into substance. To avoid this, I'd have to use smart uvs and pack them all into one giant uv shell.
Sorry, how is stuff like this usually done? Is each and every single piece of my modular wall set supposed to be painted by hand? I'm a one man indie dev and self-taught so I'm not really sure how I can go about doing it.
Would really appreciate the help frens.

Give it to me straight. Can a person with no talent for drawing, at 30, even dream to actually become good ? I am interested in learning realistic drawings like this pic, do I have any chance ? I want honesty, not bullshit, for that I could always ask reddit.

Man 3D sure is hard. I've been studying environment art for games in school non stop for around a year and a half and while I've progressed tons and reached a certain level of proficiency and comfort with standard industry methods/workflows I still struggle and have yet to feel truly happy with a piece I've made in it's entirety.
I guess in this industry it's really easy to compare yourself with the greats. If anyone browsing on here is industry level and really skilled at creating beautiful images I'd like to ask how long it took you to reach a level of genuine satisfaction with your skill level artistically and technically.

How many hero characters can you actually render on a 12gb gpu? Say you have two or more chars + background with a whole bunch of 4k+ UDIM textures. How much can you render before you hit the limit and need 24gb? Is 24gb enough? This is for my build. Hearing a lot about melting cables for the 4090.

Every single time I tried to crack ZB2021 it always came up with missing .dll files, froze all the time and would randomly crash after long sessions. Yesterday I got the rack for Zbrush2022 and none of those problems have arisen. Anyone else got this or its just me?

I havent used Painter in a while but I assume this is true. tell me if I'm wrong.
>You can import lights and objects in a abc or fbx and have your scene appear exactly as it would in the final render in your DCC. You can author material X shaders in Painter and plug them directly into Redshift in maya and have a 1:1 representation
Is this worth getting Redshift over? I only have a 3060. Currently using Cycles X (great gpu support) and occasionally Arnold (horrible gpu implementation)

🧵 HOW CAN I BAKE THIS EVEE MATERIAL?!?
Anonymous at Thu, 13 Oct 2022 14:10:28 UTC No. 921868
So, I followed this tutorial: https://youtu.be/ZKObDQEPR3A to create a watercolor material and everything worked fine until I tried to bake it.
I've tried for hours but I can't seem to bake correctly this evee shader, I even tried to bake the shader that feeds into the "shader to RGB" node first but it still didn't work. The problem is that my texture ends up looking very different from how it looks on evee when I try to plug the baked texture to replace the "shader to RGB" node. I don't know what to do guys help me pls.
