I'm loosing my mind here. I've opened an old Blender file from 2-3 months ago and all the "Armature deform" modifiers are now fucked up. I've tried recalculating normals, applying transformation to deltas for everything but It doesn't fix anything. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong, please?

Well, I looked everywhere and didn't find rips of Warcraft 3 models. Not only that, but I want to 3D print them, and I knew the models would be super optimized and wonky (I was right).

I'm starting with the Moonwell, my question on this one specifically is about those little shrubs on the front. they're done with billboarding on the original... Any suggestions for simple approaches here?

I'm planning on doing the ziggurat next! Let me know which one's yall are interested in, or if anyone's done this before..

Honestly, the big high IQ genius workflow in terms of speed.
It's basically spend 1-2 weeks making a basemesh and kitbash libraries of girls and male meshes, ready to simply edit the texture.

Totally rigged.
And even some default animations.

Pretty much making something like an asset pack of my nice looking pixel art models.

I mean, the crabs have a point.
It's like code.
I have to start making reusable libraries in my 3D art.

I guess it is also what happens when you don't learn anatomy but that is besides the point. Let's talk about gore in vidya. How do developers make it work? Now I'm sure there are several methods to create a gore system but what is one that an anon could, theoretically, implement in their own project in say Unreal or Unity?

With segmented characters, that is easy: make the hit limb disappear, at its location spawn some guts meshes and blood particle effects, and voila.

With NON segmented characters however it gets tricky: how do you make JUST the interested limb be cut off? I've been thinking about this and my guess is they do that through Shape Keys: when the interested limb has to be dismembered, what happens is that a Shape Key is applied making all the limb's vertices collapse into a single point and moved inside of the part of the limb that is still intact, maybe there's even a hidden plane with flesh textures that's positioned at the dismemberment point behind which the collapsed vertices "retreat" to. I realize this might be a bit difficult to convey/grasp so I'll post images below showing what I mean.
