Did someone stronger than an opponent armed with a bat can beat him or bat hits are too strong to defend yourself against it?
Also are baseball bats useful for self-defense against any unarmed opponent?

Is it wise to start doing bjj while I am boxing amateur? I am afraid if I start learning I might have an injury that will take me out of boxing or permanently effect my performance

What's the difference between savate and kickboxing? Like I know traditionally savate didn't include punches, only slaps and toe kicks, because a closed fist was considered a deadly weapon at the time, but these days punching is allowed so what's left to differentiate it?

As some of you may know we got a team in videogame soccer played against other boards
Our next showing is around mid october , but while the board is pretty new-ish i feel it has changed a fair bit since then, so i'm looking to adjust the roster to more accurately reflect the board. I'm looking for suggestions"
Personally i think we are due for more fighting/martial arts representation considering a solid half of the threads are about that. I'm also open for other suggestion.

Can any of the non underage b& posters remind me: why did people hate Ryan Sheckler? I know his tv show was a big pile of cringe and he didn't make that one stair gap when he said he did, but I don't recall a moment where anyone had a leg to stand on when it came to criticising his skating. And he never really seemed like a douche or anything like that, especially not next to other pros at the time.

how do i convince my gf to train with me in kyokushin and maybe judo later on?
though i personally don't feel the need to train for self-defense as much anymore, my gf apparently has a stalker who's done some pretty nasty things to her, and has harassed her for the past 5 years. he lives in the same town as her, but so do i, so whenever i get the chance i accompany her when she runs errands and i always walk her back home.
but what if i can't? i won't be in town every day of the year. whereas i've had some spooky run-ins with chavs, she's been verbally, emotionally, and physically abused by this guy a bunch of times for the past half decade, so she stands to gain a lot more from martial arts training for self-defense than i do.
if it helps, she's a short, stocky northern english lass who can pick me up with ease (i'm a 6' caribbean mutt with relatively long limbs).

The simpliest solution would be to keep heavyweight at 265 lbs and add super heavyweight above it but some say heavyweight should be moved to 245 and super heavyweight should be 300 or that super heavyweight should have 30% bodyfat limit to ban fatties from fighting.
Personally I would just do the same thing boxing does to heavyweight which is letting the history happen. In XIX century heavyweight was >160 but boxers are getting bigger so they established light heavyweight, then cruiserweight and recently bridgerweight.
Basically, I would make heavyweight at >205 with no limit, observe it for a few years and split it into heavyweight and super heavyweight if guys under certain weight will have too little chance against giants.
Women deserve heavier weightclasses even more than men because unlike non obesse men over 265, non obesse women over 145 aren't anomal. I would make women's lightweight at 155 and openweight above 155. If there were enough competitors, I would also add welterweight at 170.
