Who here has pirated solidworks? Is it relevant for the industry? does it have an use outside 3d printing? do the pirated versions have any particular bug/disadvantage? Was looking for jobs for 3d design on my area but I could only find some for 3d printing.

How do you model interiors of buildings? The camera controls in most 3d sw is a horror to navigate inside models.

Hello! How can I stop having issues with modeling low poly?
I've tried many things but it seems others are leaving me behind.
Starting from legs, head, chest, nothing seems to work, I've wasted a ridiculous amount of time on this.

Someone please help me with the blender video editor. It's 6am and I can't think anymore. I'm trying to use this green bit as a strip mask for a video clip. Using this example, I want the Vermintide clip on the left and the Monster Hunter clip on the right, but with a mask set up so I can properly zoom in on both. I did it once in practice but now I can't get it to work. The fuck am I doing wrong? And yes, everything is set to Alpha Over

Honestly, what would it take for pic related to actually compete with commercial software in the professional space?

Seems like for how much blendlets spew shit about how "it'll be the new industry standard", the Blender Foundation has a lot to do before catching the eyes of studios, especially larger ones that have an established pipeline.

Hey /3/ this is my first time posting here and i find myself in need of help.
I work with Zbrush, C4D with Octane and Substance Painter and I've been trying to match the textures i painted in Substance with my models in C4D but they somehow don't seem to match, they look streched and distorted.
Does anyone know why is this happening? i've tried changing my texture projection to different modes and nothing seems to work.
They were exported as a PBR metal/roughness material.
I appreciate your help in advance broth/3/rs.

Can /3/ skilled industry guys pls write a pastebin on how to make psx capcom backgrounds and what tools can make them?
I kind of remember how to make them on blender 2.7, but I'm afraid I kind of hard forgotten how to do it.
I remember is related to the console limitations, pong shaders with bling, no PBR, old render engine tech like 2.5 non cycles renderer and just ambien light and maybe sphere and cone lights on night scenes and shit like billboard details and more likely triplanar texturing with textures from CD packs and basic kind of procedural textures.
And maybe also the resolution, GIF compression and the psx vertex integer issue.
Maybe very basic smooth subsurf I see it on prerender models.
Feel free to post what else you remember is needed for psx pre render backgrounds.
Blender 2.5 likely is the best shot to do it on modern OS.

Ok, I'm done with blender
Need an alternative easy to pick up and good for exporting scenesbinto Unity.
Blender refuses to work and it won't pan around, reinstall, reconfigure, focus camera, still won't pan.

Why can't you just make photos of something from all angles and then a software turns it into a 3d modell?

Have you ever had luck with "Artists Looking For Work" section on Polycount or do I just suck ass? The full time work section is chock full of HR people demanding you have X amount of shipped Triple A titles to even consider you, and even then, they would pay you very little because they think you are trash
